A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

## United States (NHTSA), as of 2026-10-19

- [15V176000](/recalls/nhtsa/15V176000.md), 2015-03-25: POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION. Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA \(Yamaha\) is recalling certain model year 2015 FJ\-09 \(FJ09F/FC\), FZ\-09 \(FZ09F/FC\), FZ6R \(FZ6RF/FC\), Super Tenere \(XTZ12F/FC\), Super Tenere ES \(XTZ12EF/EFC\), and R6 \(YZF\-R6\) motorcycles manufactured September 1, 2014, to November 17, 2014. The affected motorcycles may have an incorrectly manufactured shift cam segment stopper, having a sharp edge on the inside of the bend instead of a smooth radius. As a result, the stopper can crack and possibly fracture at this sharp edge. Built 2014\-09\-01 to 2014\-11\-17.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2015134](/recalls/tc/2015134.md), 2015-03-26: Powertrain. On certain motorcycles, the shift cam segment stopper on the transmission may not have been manufactured properly. This could cause the stopper to crack and break overtime which could result in a missed shift or engagement of a different gear than intended. This could increase the risk of a crash resulting in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the shift shaft assembly with an updated version.
