New software released structure week 201703 to prevent this fault. Do not replace low pressure sensor. Please perform a total upgrade in accordance with TJ 31543.

This is a Technical Journal: Title Turtle in Driver's Information Module, DTC Engine Control Module -U005500 Status Driving/Poor performance/lacks power Do not replace any parts as this is identified as a software issue. New software will be available week 16, 2017. Until solution is available, the temporary solution is to reset the DTC and inform the customer that the software solution is on its way.

Volvo Car USA LLC and Volvo Car of Canada Ltd (Volvo) on behalf of Volvo Car Corporation, has decided to launch Service Campaign S39839 on certain model year 2016 - 2017 XC90 T8 vehicles. Volvo has identified that if the Inverter Generator Module (IGM) is exposed to high temperatures and vibration, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may be set indicating an internal isolation fault that will render the IGM inoperable. If this condition occurs while driving, the gasoline engine will start if it is not already running, and the driver will receive a warning message in the Driver Information Module (DIM). The corrective action is to replace the IGM.

This is a Technical Journal: if the Inverter Generator Module (IGM) is exposed to high temperatures and vibration, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may be set indicating an internal isolation fault that will render the IGM inoperable.The corrective action is to check the vehicles IGM serial number against the attached ?IGM Housing Serial Numbers? list. If the label number for the vehicles IGM is listed in the ?IGM Housing Serial Number? list, replace the IGM. If the label number from the vehicles IGM is not on the list, no further action is necessary.

This is a Technical Journal: Low Battery Message, Engine Remote Start inop, flat 12V battery Service: The most recent VCM software release can cause any or all of the above symptoms. *The current solution is to install VCM repair software by following the procedure below: 1. Perform a Total Upgrade according to TJ 31543 to bring all vehicle nodes to the latest software status. The Upgrades list in VIDA should be empty before proceeding. *2. Download the appropriate SP below to prevent the above symptoms and re-enable ERS XC90: SP 31676890, CMQ VCM Fix S90: SP 31676891, CMQ VCM Fix 3. Drive the vehicle over 20mph to release the VCM from diagnostic mode. ERS will be unavailable until this is done. 4. Close and lock the vehicle for 3+ minutes to allow the network to shut down before testing ERS. PLEASE NOTE - DO NOT perform a Total Upgrade or VCM Upgrade after performing this procedure (they will now appear in the Upgrades list). Doing so will re-install the affected software. - Not all battery drains are caused by this issue. *The repair software will be integrated with regular VCM Upgrade/Reload and Total Upgrade/PDS/Service 2.0 packages in the coming weeks *This TJ will be updated when the updated software packages are available.

The Vehicle Connectivity Module (VCM) contains telematics functions that may increase the current draw when the vehicle is not in use. The corrective action is to perform a Total Upgrade which contains new VCM software.
