The flexible steel cable that connects the seat belt to the front outboard seating positions may fatigue over time, causing the seat belt to not secure the occupant in the event of a crash.
- [19V849000](/recalls/nhtsa/19V849000.md), 2019-11-26: LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH. Volvo Car of USA LLC \(Volvo\) is recalling certain 2011\-2017 S60, S60I, V60, S60CC and V60CC vehicles. IN THESE VEHICLES, THE WIRE HARNESS UNDER THE FRONT SEATS MAY HAVE NOT BEEN ATTACHED PROPERLY TO THE SEAT FRAME. AS A RESULT, WHEN THE SEATS ARE MOVED TO ADJUST THE SEATING POSITION, THE WIRE HARNESS MAY GET PULLED, CAUSING IT TO DISCONNECT. Built 2011\-05\-16 to 2011\-10\-06.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2020298](/recalls/tc/2020298.md), 2020-06-30: Seats And Restraints. Issue: On certain vehicles, the flexible steel cable that attaches the seat belt to the outside of the front seats may weaken over time. As a result, the seat belt could detach. Safety Risk: A seat belt that detaches in a crash could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective Action: Volvo will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the front\-outboard seat belt anchors.
- [2013419](/recalls/tc/2013419.md), 2013-11-26: Lights And Instruments. Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 101 \- Controls and Displays. The oil pressure sensor is not activated in the original factory downloaded software. As a result, no oil pressure information would be indicated to the driver in the instrument cluster. Correction: Dealers will update software.
- [2012101](/recalls/tc/2012101.md), 2012-03-14: Fuel System. On certain vehicles, the underbody coating may have been incorrectly formulated and excessively applied during the vehicle assembly process. This can result in rigid, icicle\-like formations of underbody coating hanging from the undercarriage of the vehicle, which could damage the fuel lines and cause a leak. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, remove excessive underbody coating near the fuel lines.
- [2012082](/recalls/tc/2012082.md), 2012-02-28: Airbag. On certain vehicles, the wire harness under the driver and/or passenger seat may not have been properly affixed to the seat frame during vehicle assembly. As such, the harness may get caught by the amplifier \(mounted under the seat\) when seating position is adjusted. If this occurs, the harness connector may detach from the socket and, as a result, the corresponding airbag may not function as intended, causing the instrument panel SRS warning lamp to illuminate. Failure of a frontal airbag to deploy during a crash \(where deployment is warranted\) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, secure the wire harness to the driver and/or passenger seat frame.
- [2011388](/recalls/tc/2011388.md), 2011-11-04: Label. On certain vehicles equipped with a dealer\-installed optional accessory spare tire and wheel kit, the Tire and Loading Information label may not contain correct information. Since the vehicle was originally fitted \(by the factory\) with a tire inflation kit, the label indicates “none” as the spare tire designation, instead of spare tire size and inflation pressure information. Correction: Dealers will replace the Tire and Loading Information label.
- [2011218](/recalls/tc/2011218.md), 2011-06-06: Fuel System. On certain vehicles, a fuel line quick connector may have been incorrectly manufactured and could fail. Should the connector detach, it could cause engine stalling and a fuel leak. Engine stalling would result in lost propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the high\-pressure fuel line assembly.
- [2011211](/recalls/tc/2011211.md), 2011-05-31: Fuel System. On certain vehicles, the fuel system software may not be compatible with the fuel pump assembly. Insufficient fuel transfer could cause engine hesitation or stalling. Engine stalling would result in loss of propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will update the engine control module software.
