## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2022170](/recalls/tc/2022170.md), 2022-04-06: Structure. Issue: This recall is for accessory rear hatch spoilers that were installed on a new vehicle or sold as an accessory part at a Volkswagen dealership. On certain vehicles, the rear spoiler might not be properly attached to the hatch. As a result, the spoiler could detach from the vehicle while driving. Safety Risk: A spoiler that detaches from the vehicle could create a hazard for other drivers and nearby people. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the rear hatch spoiler.
- [2019158](/recalls/tc/2019158.md), 2019-03-28: Label. Issue: The compliance label may list the wrong tire size and recommended tire inflation pressures. Using a tire that is not properly inflated, or that is the wrong size, could cause a tire failure or result in poor driving performance. Safety Risk: A tire failure could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect and replace the compliance label as required.
- [2019116](/recalls/tc/2019116.md), 2019-03-06: Suspension. Issue: On certain vehicles, the rear suspension coil springs may not have been properly manufactured and could break over time. This could cause damage to a rear tire, resulting in rapid air loss and/or tire failure. Safety Risk: A rear tire failure could affect vehicle control. Additionally, a broken coil spring could also create a road hazard for other motorists. Both of these conditions may increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to have both of the rear axle coil springs replaced. If a broken coil spring is found, the rear tires should be inspected for damage and replaced as required.
- [2018644](/recalls/tc/2018644.md), 2018-11-21: Lights And Instruments. Certain vehicles do not to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard \(CMVSS\) 114 \- Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. Due to incorrect programming, the vehicle may fail to provide an audible warning when a driver opens their door after turning off the ignition, and the key is left in the ignition switch. This could increase the risk of vehicle theft. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the instrument cluster.
