## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2020468](/recalls/tc/2020468.md), 2020-10-06: Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain vehicles, the ESC warning light may not remain on if a fault was detected on the previous key cycle. Instead, the warning light does not turn on until the vehicle starts to move. Canadian regulations require that the ESC warning light must turn on when the vehicle is started \(under these conditions\). Note: This problem can only happen if there is a fault related to the power steering system. The power steering warning light would stay on to advise that there is a fault with the steering system. Safety Risk: This small error does not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has made changes to the vehicle software to correct this issue on all new vehicles.
- [2019352](/recalls/tc/2019352.md), 2019-07-17: Airbag. Issue: On certain vehicles, the airbag control unit may contain a defective capacitor. If the capacitor fails, it could result in a deployment of the airbags and/or seat belt pretensioners without a crash. This could also cause the airbag system to not deploy in the event of a crash. Safety Risk: Airbags or seat belt pretensioners that deploy without a crash could create a risk of injury and also increase the risk of a crash. Airbags that do not deploy in a crash could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to have updated airbag control unit software installed and, if necessary, the airbag control unit will be replaced.
- [2016041](/recalls/tc/2016041.md), 2016-01-27: Airbag. On certain vehicles, the driver and/or right front passenger seat\-mounted airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure during airbag deployment. Increased pressure may cause the inflator to rupture, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury. This could also damage the airbag module, which could prevent proper deployment. Failure of either of the seat\-mounted airbags to fully deploy during a crash \(where deployment is warranted\) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the affected driver and/or passenger seat side airbag modules with new production modules.
- [2015209](/recalls/tc/2015209.md), 2015-05-15: Label. Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 120 \- Tire Selection and Rims. The certification label is missing the recommended tire pressure information. Also, incorrect gross vehicle weight rating / gross axle weight rating information may have been printed on the label. This could lead to tire underinflation and/or vehicle overloading, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will apply a revised label.
