- [2025099](/recalls/tc/2025099.md), 2025-02-26: Lights And Instruments. Issue: Under certain circumstances, a software problem could cause the ''N'' \(Neutral\) gear position not to display on the instrument cluster. As a result, you may not be aware when the transmission is in neutral. If this happens, and brakes or parking brake aren't used, the vehicle could roll away. Note: For the Q4 e\-tron model, this recall affects both SUV and Sportback models. Safety Risk: A vehicle that rolls away could create the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, the company recommends that you should use the parking brake and confirm the parking brake indicator light is on when you park. The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the brake control unit software.
- [2024502](/recalls/tc/2024502.md), 2024-09-04: Structure. Issue: On certain vehicles, water could leak into the door handle\(s\). If this happens, the door\(s\) could open unexpectedly while driving. Note: This problem could cause a clicking noise that sounds like a door being locked or unlocked. Safety Risk: A door that opens while driving could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the door handles. The dealer will also update the vehicle software.
- [2024485](/recalls/tc/2024485.md), 2024-05-29: Airbag. Issue: On certain vehicles, the owner's manual incorrectly describes the function of the passenger airbag indicator light. Safety Risk: This error does not affect the safety or function of the airbag. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has made changes to ensure that all new vehicles have owner manuals that correctly describe the function of the passenger airbag indicator light. The company will also instruct dealers to add an insert to correct owner's manuals for all unsold vehicles.
- [2024275](/recalls/tc/2024275.md), 2024-05-15: Visual System. Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the instrument cluster and center display to reset or not to work. As a result, you may not be able to see certain information about the vehicle, including the speedometer and certain warning lights and/or messages. In addition, the rearview camera image may not display when the transmission is shifted into the reverse gear. Safety Risk: Warnings and malfunction tell\-tale information that don't display could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could also increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.
- [2023263](/recalls/tc/2023263.md), 2023-05-03: Structure. Issue: On certain vehicles, water could leak into the door handle\(s\). If this happens, the door\(s\) could open unexpectedly while driving at speeds below 15 km/h. Note: This problem could cause a clicking noise that sounds like a door being locked or unlocked. Safety Risk: A door that opens while driving could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the door handles, and replace them if necessary. The dealer will also update the vehicle software.
- [2023034](/recalls/tc/2023034.md), 2023-02-01: High Voltage. Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the high\-voltage battery management control module to reset or the pulse inverter to deactivate. If this happens while driving, the electric motor would not supply power to the wheels. Note: If this happens, you may see a warning message on the instrument panel. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the high\-voltage battery control unit and the pulse inverter control unit software.
- [2022631](/recalls/tc/2022631.md), 2022-11-02: Airbag. Issue: On certain vehicles, the passenger\-front airbag may not have been folded properly. As a result, the airbag may not inflate properly in a crash. Safety Risk: An airbag that does not inflate properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the passenger\-front airbag module.
- [2022123](/recalls/tc/2022123.md), 2022-03-16: High Voltage. Issue: On a small number of vehicles, a problem with the high\-voltage battery may cause the electric motor to shut down. If this happens, there would be a loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the affected battery cell modules.
