- [20V085000](/recalls/nhtsa/20V085000.md), 2020-02-13: WHEELS:LUGS/NUTS/BOLTS/STUDS. Vermeer Manufacturing Company \(Vermeer\) is recalling certain 2016\-2020 BC1000XL, BC1200XL, BC1500, and AX19 brush chipper trailers.  Incorrect lug nuts may have been installed, possibly resulting in the lug nuts loosening.
- [15V575000](/recalls/nhtsa/15V575000.md), 2015-09-16: EXTERIOR LIGHTING. Vermeer Manufacturing Company \(Vermeer\) is recalling certain model year 2008\-2016 Vermeer BC1000XL, 2013\-2016  BC700XL, 2012\-2016 BC900XL, 2009\-2016 BC1200XL, 2003\-2016 BC1800XL, 2005\-2014 BC600XL, 2005\-2016 SC802 and 2005\-2013 SC602 Brush Chippers and Stump Cutters.  These models have LED side markers lights that do not have reflectors built into the lenses, reducing the visibility of the vehicle.  As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard \(FMVSS\) number 108, " Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Built 2008\-03\-28 to 2015\-09\-17.
- [12V375000](/recalls/nhtsa/12V375000.md), 2012-08-02: EQUIPMENT. Vermeer is recalling certain model year 2009\-2012 single axle brush chipper trailers because the axle mounting bolts could loosen, leading to axle separation from the brush chipper. Built 2011\-01\-03 to 2012\-07\-30.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2012258](/recalls/tc/2012258.md), 2012-08-07: Structure. On certain units, the axle to frame mounting bolts were improperly tightened during assembly and could loosen. This could cause the axle to shift or become separated from the trailer chassis, resulting in poor vehicle handling characteristics or a loss of control increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.  Correction: Dealers will replace axle mounting hardware and tighten to specification.
