Service bulletins for the 2020 Toyota Tundra

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

T-SB-0095-192019-09-16. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. TSB: Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) is a critical step in satisfying our new car customers. Customer feedback indicates the following areas deserve special attention when performing PDS: * Careful inspection for paint chips/scratches and body dents/dings. * Proper operation of electrical accessories. * Interior cleanliness. * Proper function of mechanical systems. Customer retention and proper maintenance of vehicles are and have always been a major focus for Toyota. To help remind customers that regular service is essential to the proper maintenance of the vehicle, dealers are required to install a service reminder sticker before delivery. By doing this, customers will be reminded to return to your dealership for service. Your current service reminder sticker may be used. (See PDS Check Sheet item 8 of "Final Inspection and Cleaning.") A new PDS Check Sheet has been developed for the 2020 model year Tundra. Some check points have been added, expanded, or clarified. Bulletins are available for items in bold type.

During Pre-Delivery Service (PDS), follow the appropriate Installation Procedure to attach the driver side, and if applicable, the passenger side and rear seat floor mats to the vehicle carpet using the floor mat retainers. If installation instructions are included in the floor mat kit, place the instructions in the vehicle?s glove box for customer reference. CAUTION ? ALL OEM Toyota floor mats are specifically designed to fit correctly and be secured using the retainers. ? Make sure the floor mat is properly placed on the vehicle carpet and secured with the retainers. Verify the operation of the accelerator, brake, and clutch (if equipped) pedals and clearance to the mat. ? NEVER install more than one floor mat at a time in the driver?s seating position. ? If applicable, ANY secondary set of floor mats (based upon customer preference, such as the all-weather floor mats or other floor mats) MUST be placed in the trunk with ALL the packaging material intact.
