## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2026034](/recalls/tc/2026034.md), 2026-01-28: Structure. Issue: On certain vehicles, water could leak into the rear door handle\(s\) and cause the door opener switch\(es\) to short circuit. If this happens, the rear door\(s\) could open unexpectedly while driving. Note: This is an expansion of Transport Canada recall no. 2024\-228. Vehicles repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: A door that opens while driving could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Toyota recommends that you enable the automatic door locking function through the vehicle's head unit. Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to modify the rear door switch circuits.
- [2025594](/recalls/tc/2025594.md), 2025-10-30: Visual System. Issue: Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image to freeze or not to display. If this happens, the rearview image may not display when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the vehicle is reversing. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a panoramic view monitor system. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display correctly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the parking assist ECU software.
- [2024228](/recalls/tc/2024228.md), 2024-04-17: Electrical. Issue: On certain vehicles, water could leak into the rear door handle\(s\) and could cause the door opener switch\(es\) to short circuit. If this happens, the rear door\(s\) could open unexpectedly while driving. Safety Risk: A door that opens while driving could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install improved door opener switches.
