- [26V570000](/recalls/nhtsa/26V570000.md), 2026-09-02: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM. Toyota Motor Engineering \& Manufacturing \(Toyota\) is recalling certain 2026 C\-HR battery electric vehicles. A software programming error may cause the electric drive system battery to become overcharged under certain driving conditions, which can shut down the electric drive system and result in a loss of drive power. Built 2026\-02\-06 to 2026\-07\-10.

- [2026421](/recalls/tc/2026421.md), 2026-09-02: High Voltage. Issue: On certain vehicles, under certain conditions, a software problem in the battery electric vehicle control unit \(BEV ECU\) could cause the electric drive system to shut down while driving. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels.  Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.  Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Toyota advises that you should limit the vehicle's maximum state of charge to no more than 80% until the recall repairs have been completed. Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the BEV ECU software.
