A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

## United States (NHTSA), as of 2026-10-19

- [19V343000](/recalls/nhtsa/19V343000.md), 2019-05-02: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE; AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION. Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. \(Suzuki\) is recalling 2010\-2013 Kizashi vehicles. The front passenger seat Occupant Classification System \(OCS\) may misclassify an adult occupant as child and deactivate the front air bag. Built 2009\-10\-13 to 2012\-10\-31.
- [19V187000](/recalls/nhtsa/19V187000.md), 2019-03-07: AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION; SEATS. Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. \(Suzuki\) is recalling certain 2010\-2013 Kizashi and 2006\-2013 Grand Vitara vehicles. The front passenger leather seat may shrink due to high humidity and high temperature. As a result, the occupant classification system \(OCS\) sensor mat may not accurately detect if an adult or child is occupying the seat. Built 2011\-06\-08 to 2012\-05\-31.
- [18V769000](/recalls/nhtsa/18V769000.md), 2018-10-31: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. \(Suzuki\) is recalling certain 2010\-2013 Suzuki Kizashi vehicles. Dust can enter the vent line that provides fresh air to the carbon canister, restricting its air flow and possibly creating excessive negative pressure in the fuel tank which may result in the fuel tank cracking. Built 2009\-10\-13 to 2012\-10\-31.
- [14V811000](/recalls/nhtsa/14V811000.md), 2014-12-22: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:GEAR POSITION INDICATION \(PRNDL\). Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. \(Suzuki\) is recalling certain model year 2010\-2013 SX4 vehicles manufactured July 16, 2009, to November 1, 2012, and 2010\-2013 Kizashi vehicles manufactured October 13, 2009, to October 31, 2012. The shift selector can be moved out of the "Park" position without depressing the brake pedal. Built 2011\-06\-01 to 2012\-05\-31.
- [14V464000](/recalls/nhtsa/14V464000.md), 2014-07-30: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Suzuki Motor Of America, Inc. \(Suzuki\) is recalling certain model year 2010\-2013 Kizashi vehicles manufactured October 2009 through July 2012. In the affected vehicles, spiders may weave a web in the evaporative canister vent hose, blocking it and causing the fuel tank to have an excessive amount of negative pressure. Built 2011\-06\-01 to 2012\-06\-30.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2019217](/recalls/tc/2019217.md), 2019-05-09: Seats And Restraints. Issue: On certain cars, due to the seating posture/position of the occupant, the occupant classification system \(OCS\) may not work properly. This could cause the airbag system to turn off the passenger\-front airbag even when an adult is seated in the front passenger seat. Note: When the front passenger\-front airbag is turned off, the PASS AIR BAG OFF indicator will light. Safety Risk: In a crash where an airbag is required, an airbag that does not deploy could increase the risk of injury for an adult passenger. Corrective Actions: Suzuki will mail a letter to owners to advise of this problem. A second letter will be sent once a corrective action has been determined.
- [2019129](/recalls/tc/2019129.md), 2019-03-11: Airbag. Issue: On certain vehicles, the occupant classification system \(OCS\) may not work properly. This could cause the airbag system not to turn off the airbag when an infant or child is seated in the front passenger seat. This could also cause the passenger seat belt reminder to activate when the seat is empty. Note: This problem only affects vehicles with leather seats. Safety Risk: In a crash, an airbag that deploys in front of an infant or child increases the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a Suzuki service provider to have the front passenger seat cushion replaced.
- [2014578](/recalls/tc/2014578.md), 2014-12-18: Powertrain. On certain vehicles, the detent pin within the shift lock structure may have been incorrectly positioned. An incorrectly positioned detent pin in combination with high temperature conditions could allow the transmission shift selector to be moved out of the PARK position without depressing the brake pedal. Depending which gear the driver selects, the vehicle could begin to move forward or backward immediately. This movement could result in property damage, or cause the vehicle to strike a bystander, potentially resulting in injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the shift selector assembly with an improved part which incorporates an extended detent pin.
- [2014320](/recalls/tc/2014320.md), 2014-08-01: Fuel System. On certain vehicles, a particular type of spider may weave a web in the evaporative canister vent line which may cause a restriction in the line. If this occurs, the fuel tank pressure may become excessively negative when the emission control system works to purge the vapors from the canister. As the canister is purged repeatedly during normal operation, the stress on the fuel tank may eventually result in a crack causing a fuel leak. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect the canister vent line and replace it with a line containing a filter. If a web is found in the old line, the fuel tank will also be replaced
