SUBARU OF AMERICA, INC. has determined that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain Subaru vehicles listed above, equipped with a non-desiccated Takata-sourced passenger side frontal airbag containing the propellant Phase Stabilized Ammonium Nitrate (PSAN).
16-100-162018-06-11. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). This bulletin announces availability of reprogramming files to optimize the TCM. The files will address customer concerns of inconsistency in the amount of engine braking experienced when using Manual mode (or paddle shifters if equipped) when descending long downgrades. 2.5L NA models.
16-90-13R2018-06-11. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY:PEDAL/HAND LEVER(MOTORCYCLE); ENGINE; EQUIPMENT; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:TORQUE CONVERTER; POWER TRAIN. CVT Transmissions only. This bulletin announces the availability of a countermeasure torque converter assembly to address a customer concern of very low engine RPM when coming to a stop. The condition is similar to coming to a stop in a manual transmission equipped vehicle without depressing the clutch pedal. Thrust washer wear inside the torque converter can cause restriction of the oil passage used to bleed off lock-up clutch application pressure. The result is either a delayed (momentary low engine rpm) or no lock-up pressure release. The thrust washer has been changed from a solid bushing-type to a needle bearing type.
02-172-18R2018-06-11. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT. This bulletin provides details regarding a new oil filler tube o-ring developed to address engine oil seepage concerns. This seepage may accumulate along the bottom sealing surface of the rocker cover. The new o-ring utilizes material which has an increased resistance to engine heat.

To address customer concerns of a squeaking-type sound heard while cranking the engine, a change to improve anti-wear characteristics of the ring gear was made.
WVU31R2018-04-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 2.5 Liter N/A engine only. REVISED. Subaru of America, Inc. has determined that vehicles affected by this Service Program require ECM reprogramming. A modification to the Engine Control Module software logic has been developed to improve the performance of the emission control system. This software change will not adversely affect fuel economy or performance. This software update is intended to improve vehicle emissions when the vehicle is operated in cold weather and the engine is turned off and restarted within short periods of time such as in several minute intervals. The A/F sensor contains a heating element, which is controlled by the ECM, and which assists the sensor in reaching an optimum temperature, resulting in better accuracy. When the vehicle is operated under the conditions described above, there could be a longer than desired delay in the ECM?s turning on the A/F sensor heating element, resulting in higher than desired emissions. This software enhancement will correct that condition.

WTI-69 Service Campaign - Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) Labels- Subaru of America, Inc. (Subaru) is initiating a Service Program for all 2010 model year Legacy 2.5GT 6MT vehicles. Subaru has determined that there is a typographical error on the under-hood Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) Label for Subaru Legacy 2.5GT 6MT models with turbo engine. The incorrect label identifies the vehicle being equipped with secondary ?AIR?. The vehicles were correctly built without secondary AIR. See State Inspection/ Maintenance Advisory Bulletin 11-165-16 for full details. The typographical error has no impact on emission performance or drivability. The remainder of the 2010 model year Subaru VECI is correct.
