Service bulletins for the 2014 Porsche Panamera

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

558 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

122-A7C8T-102018-10-15. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION:FRONT:CONTROL ARM. Informatin: Internal tests have shown that the longitudinal and transverse control arms installed on the affected vehicles may be prone to corrosion. The durability of these components cannot therefore be unequivocally guaranteed.

Subject: Front camera Symptom: The customer complains that certain functions of the front camera are not available at times: Lane Change Assist not available Porsche Dynamic Light System not available Traffic sign recognition not available Cause: Image sensor fault in the front camera. Insufficient contrast causes certain functions to fail at times. Remedial Action: Check front camera and replace it if necessary.
122-X5F7U-082018-08-20. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Symptom Customers complain that the brake pedal does not always return completely to its end position following actuation.
122-R9H5B-072018-08-06. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Concerns: Belt tensioner Information: Checking belt tensioner in the event of a complaint about "leaks" before carrying out any other work.
122-P5G7U-072018-08-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING; ENGINE. Oil in the wiring harness. If oil is found in the engine wiring harness during a repair, the wiring harness and all the affected components (including the oil pump control valve) must be replaced.
122-R9H5B-072018-07-30. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Concerns: Belt tensioner Information: Checking belt tensioner in the event of a complaint about "leaks" before carrying out any other work.
122-P5G7U-072018-07-30. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Oil in the wiring harness. If oil is found in the engine wiring harness during a repair, the wiring harness and all the affected components (including the oil pump control valve) must be replaced.
122-B9V4V-062018-06-25. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Information: The Approval and Support Management system was created to offer assistance to the dealer organization with new and complex technical issues by utilizing the Support Specialists within Porsche R&D. As a result, this process has reduced vehicle downtime and repeat repairs substantially.
122-A6Z3V-032018-03-13. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE (EGR VALVE). Subject: Intake valves and intake ports Information: Carboned-up valves in the engine can be reworked and cleaned using cleaning equipment. If there is a complaint about knocking combustion, e.g. during acceleration at high load, the condition of the intake valves and portsmust be checked before doing any other work. If the check shows that the intake valves and intake ports have carbon deposits and are dirty, they must be cleaned using the VAS 294 011 - cleaning unit. There should be no need to replace the components. Date of Introduction: The VAS 294 011 - cleaning unit can be ordered immediately for dealers. Remedial Action: The VAS 294 011 - cleaning unit is used for cleaning carboned-up intake valves and intake ports. Compressed air is used to spray a special granulatemixture into the intake port, where it loosens and removes carbon build-up. The dirty granulate is extracted during spraying using an industrial vacuum cleaner.
122-X4D4A-092018-01-29. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. The unwarranted errormessages "Hybrid system fault" and "Reduced engine power" can appear sporadically in the instrument cluster on the affected vehicles under certain driving conditions because the diagnostic function for the hybrid decoupler is too sensitive. If this happens, engine power will be reduced and the Check Engine light will be activated until the ignition is switched off and on again.
122-N6L6C-092018-01-29. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. The O-ring on the fuel injector can be damaged by the clamping ring. The clamping ring has been re-designed. When working on the fuel injector, e.g. in the event of a leak, in addition to replacing the O-ring, the clamping ringmust also be replaced by a new type of clamping ring.
122-D4S3S-012018-01-29. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Concern: On vehicles with a conventional drive system, the fuel that gets into the engine oil is evaporated by the high operating temperatures of the combustion engine. However, this fuelmight not evaporate fully due to the comparably low temperatures of the engine in hybrid mode on the affected vehicles. If the combustion engine does not reach a higher operating temperature for a long time, e.g. during frequent short trips, this can cause the oil level to increase to such an extent that the oil level measurement will activate the warning message "Oil level above maximum" in the instrument cluster. However, the functional properties of the engine oil are always guaranteed.
122-W9M4S-122017-12-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Subject: Charging socket Symptom: Water does not sufficiently drain away from the charging socket area, especially after heavy rain. The water may remain in the charging socket for some time. Electrical components of the charging socket, such as switches, connectors or LEDs, are corroded. This may also cause a check engine warning, hybrid warnings, and various fault codes related to the high voltage battery charger.
122-T7Y5Q-122017-12-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Information: This document updates information previously published in EQ 1105, EQ 1105, and EQ 1401. To provide stable voltage and sufficient current throughout certain service operations, you should connect the vehicle to a battery charger (sometimes referred to as a power supply). However, you may experience ECU programming and coding issues if the chosen battery charger has insufficient power. Many workshop manuals currently advise use of a battery charger with a 40 or 70 A current rating. However, with the increasing current requirements of modern Porsche vehicles, we recommend a battery charger capable of producing a minimum current of 90 A.
122-F3H8X-112017-12-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Subject: Air-conditioning system function Situation: Customers complain that the air conditioning does not function at times or after starting it. The air conditioning does not turn on or is turned off if the state of charge of the high-voltage battery is very low and also if the battery is not sufficiently charged while driving.
122-N9F6H-012017-12-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Information: The customer complains that certain functions of the front camera are not available at times: * Lane Change Assist not available * Porsche Dynamic Light System not available * Traffic sign recognition not available Cause: Image sensor fault in the front camera. Insufficient contrast causes certain functions to fail at times.
122-L6Q4X-012017-12-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Symptom: The engine will not start at times and the fault code P0607 Control unit faulty is stored in the fault memory. Cause: The DME control unit can become damaged via the electric wires as a result of electrostatic discharge of the throttle housing. Date of Introduction: The optimized throttle housing with insulation has been installed during production since August 24, 2016.
