Service bulletins for the 2014 Porsche 911
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 122-B4N2W-06 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:ROOF AND PILLARS; STRUCTURE:EMERGENCY:ESCAPE/EGRESS/EXIT. Concerns: Screw for Targa roof emergency operation on the hydraulic unit of the roof drive mechanism. Situation: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the screw for Targa roof emergency operation on the hydraulic unit of the roof drive mechanism on the affected vehicles may not have been tightened to the specified tightening torque during the production process. As a result, when the glass rear window is raised in order to top up engine oil, for example, the window may not be held in position, but may slowly drop forward in direction of travel, thereby restricting the available space. |
| 122-W6M7A-06 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; WHEELS. Concerns: Front wheel housing liner (front part) Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. When reversing out of the bed of gravel with hot tires during race track driving, small stones that are sticking to the front tires can become loose. These stones are flung against the radiators through an opening in the front part of the wheel housing liners and can damage the radiators. |
| 122-N7A9G-06 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR. Concerns: Cover for door arrester Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that covers for the door arresters that do not conform to the high quality standards of Porsche AGmay have been installed on the affected vehicles. |
| 122-E4E3B-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; ENGINE. Concerns: Water drain valves on air cleaner housing Information: In certain environmental conditions, e.g. during heavy rain, there is a possibility that water can get into the air cleaner housing via the engine compartment lid on the affected vehicles. Depending on howmuch water has leaked in, the water may not be able to drain away quickly enough through the water drain valves provided for this purpose. As a result, there is a possibility that the air cleaner will age prematurely because of the increased wet and dry phases. This can cause reduced filter throughput and the customer may notice reduced engine power as a result. |
| 122-M9B2W-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Concerns: Sealing channel and side panel Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the point at which the sealing channel meets the side panel was not protected sufficiently against corrosion on the affected vehicles. As a result, corrosion can appear at the joint between the sealing channel and side panel over the service life of the vehicle. |
| 122-J3P4D-05 | 2017-09-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; STRUCTURE:BODY. Concerns: Front spoiler control mechanism Information: Information The procedure described below applies only to vehicles that are still under warranty: * In the event of complaints about the function of the front spoiler, * if the warning message "Spoiler failure" appears in the instrument cluster, * if the relevant fault codes are entered, and if individual components of the front spoiler air supply system need to be replaced, * the complete front spoiler control mechanism (for right of recourse against the supplier) must be ordered and replaced. |
| 122-K5C9P-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL. Concerns: Wind deflector Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the wind deflector will not reach its end position when closing the convertible top in the event of unfavourable tolerances on the affected vehicles. As a result, the convertible top cannot be closed completely. To prevent this, the wind deflector on the affected vehicles was greased as an immediate step as part of workshop campaign WC40. In the course of this new campaign, the wind deflector must be replaced with a technically optimised wind deflector as a long-term effective measure. |
