- [19V627000](/recalls/nhtsa/19V627000.md), 2019-08-28: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE. Toyota Motor Engineering \& Manufacturing \(Toyota\) is recalling certain 2003\-2008 Corolla, 2005\-2008 Corolla Matrix, and Pontiac Vibe vehicles equipped with a front passenger air bag assembly replaced under a prior recall. The air bag may not unfold as designed during inflation under high temperature conditions, possibly resulting in the air bag not inflating properly. Built 2004\-04\-26 to 2008\-01\-02.
- [16V127000](/recalls/nhtsa/16V127000.md), 2016-03-03: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE. Toyota Motor Engineering \& Manufacturing \(Toyota\) is recalling certain model year 2008\-2010 Lexus SC vehicles manufactured August 3, 2007, to July 30, 2010, 2008 Toyota Corolla vehicles manufactured May 25, 2007, to December 21, 2007, 2008 Toyota Corolla Matrix vehicles manufactured June 1, 2007, to December 18, 2007, and 2008 Pontiac Vibe vehicles manufactured June 1, 2007, to January 2, 2008. This is to address a safety defect in the passenger side frontal air bag inflator which may produce excessive internal pressure causing the inflator to rupture upon deployment of the air bag. This recall addresses both the passenger side frontal air bags that were originally installed in the vehicles, as well as replacement air bags that may have been installed as replacement service parts. A replacement air bag may have been installed, as one example, if a vehicle had been in a crash necessitating the replacement of the passenger side frontal air bag. Built 2007\-06\-01 to 2008\-01\-02.
- [16V128000](/recalls/nhtsa/16V128000.md), 2016-03-02: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE. Toyota Motor Engineering \& Manufacturing \(Toyota\) is recalling certain model year 2008\-2010 Lexus SC vehicles manufactured August 3, 2007, to July 30, 2010, 2008 Toyota Corolla vehicles manufactured June 1, 2007, to December 21, 2007, 2008 Toyota Corolla Matrix vehicles manufactured June 1, 2007, to December 18, 2007, and 2008 Pontiac Vibe vehicles manufactured June 1, 2007, to January 2, 2008 that were originally sold, or ever registered, in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Saipan, American Samoa, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The affected vehicles have a passenger side frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture upon its deployment. Built 2007\-06\-01 to 2008\-01\-02.
- [10V387000](/recalls/nhtsa/10V387000.md), 2010-08-26: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. GM IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2005\-2008 PONTIAC VIBE VEHICLES. THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE \(ECM\) FOR THE SUBJECT MODELS EQUIPPED WITH THE 1ZZ\-FE \(LV6\) ENGINE AND TWO\-WHEEL DRIVE MAY HAVE BEEN IMPROPERLY MANUFACTURED. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT A CRACK MAY DEVELOP AT CERTAIN SOLDER POINTS OR ON VARISTORS ON THE CIRCUIT BOARD. Built 2004\-04\-26 to 2008\-01\-02.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2019436](/recalls/tc/2019436.md), 2019-08-28: Airbag. Issue: On certain cars, the passenger\-front airbag that was installed during prior recall repair must be replaced. The airbag may not unfold properly when it deploys. This could cause the airbag to tear or not inflate properly in a crash. Safety Risk: An airbag that does not work properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the passenger\-front airbag assembly.
- [2016106](/recalls/tc/2016106.md), 2016-03-03: Airbag. On certain vehicles, the passenger \(frontal\) airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure during airbag deployment. Increased pressure may cause the inflator to rupture, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury. This could also damage the airbag module, which could prevent proper deployment. Failure of the passenger airbag to fully deploy during a crash \(where deployment is warranted\) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant. Note: This recall supersedes recalls 2013\-116, 2014\-301 and 2015\-272. Correction: Dealers are to replace the front passenger airbag assembly with one equipped with a newly specified inflator.
- [2010287](/recalls/tc/2010287.md), 2010-08-26: Engine. On certain vehicles equipped with a 1.8L MFI engine and a two\-wheel drive transmission, the Engine Control Module \(ECM\) may have been improperly manufactured. There is a possibility that a crack may develop at certain solder points or on varistors on the circuit board. In most cases, if a crack occurs at certain points or on certain varistors, the engine warning lamp could be illuminated, harsh shifting could result, or the engine may not start. In some instances, if cracking occurs on particular solder points or varistors, the engine could stop while the vehicle is being driven, increasing the risk of a crash causing personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the ECM.
