| 2025540 | 2025-10-09. Fuel System. Issue: On certain transit buses, the O-ring for the fuel management module could fail and cause a compressed natural gas (CNG) leak. If this happens, the gas detection alarm could cause the engine to shut down. Note: This recall only affects buses equipped with a CNG engine. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A bus that is disabled could result in a transfer of passengers in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to replace the O-ring in the fuel management module. |

If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a bus that is disabled could create the need for a transfer of passengers in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Nova Bus advises that you should not drive your bus until the recall repairs are completed. Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to replace the secondary fuel filter hoses. |
