SERVICE INFORMATION Changes or modifications to the front seat assembly trim materials may affect the proper operation of the Front Seat-Mounted Side-Impact Supplemental Air Bags and Passenger Occupant Classification Sensor and could result in serious personal injury or death. Nissan STRONGLY RECOMMENDS AGAINST making any change to seat trim materials from the factory equipped condition. This specifically applies to replacing the seat trim with non-factory materials; adding leather/cloth seat covers, seat pads, or seat storage pouches, etc. around or over the seat back and the passenger seat cushion. NTB13015A2021-05-10. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. SERVICE INFORMATION DTC B2190 (NATS ANTENNA AMP) can be stored for the following reasons: 1. Something other than an Intelligent Key is inserted into the Key-Slot. 2. An Intelligent Key issue. 3. A wiring issue between the Key-Slot and the BCM. 4. A Key-Slot issue. If DTC B2190 is stored due to 1 or 2 above, it will not erase, or go to "PAST", until a known good registered Intelligent Key is inserted into the Key-Slot. SERVICE INFORMATION If the Audio Unit needs to be replaced in an Applied Vehicle for any reason: - Replace the Audio Unit as instructed in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). - Register the replacement Audio Unit serial number with Nissan Owner Services. SERVICE INFORMATION Starting with 2010 Model Year, Nissan vehicles have been gradually incorporating a new type of DTC known as Permanent DTC or P-DTC. If a vehicle is equipped with P-DTCs, all emission related DTCs will also set a P-DTC if the MIL is turned ON. A listing of which DTCs that will also set a P-DTC is found in the DTC Index in the EC-Engine Control section of the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). If a DTC repair is performed and the DTC erased, a vehicle may fail an Emission Inspection and Maintenance test if the P-DTC is not also erased. See this bulletin for further detail.

SERVICE INFORMATION If a customer describes lack of power or poor acceleration, perform the following checks before attempting any repair: * Check for stored DTCs. * Check if the driver is resting their left foot on the brake pedal while accelerating. Advise the customer not to rest their foot on the brake while accelerating. * Use CONSULT-III plus in Engine Data Monitor to check operation of the brake lamp circuit signal. SERVICE INFORMATION The purpose of this bulletin is to clarify language contained in the owner?s manual language for the APPLIED VEHICLES. For the APPLIED VEHICLES, the below language supersedes similar language in existing owner?s manuals. Future printings of owner?s manuals for the APPLIED VEHICLES will also contain the below language. For the APPLIED VEHICLES: NISSAN recommends using Genuine NISSAN NS-3 CVT Fluid ONLY in NISSAN CVTs. Do not mix with other fluids. Do not use Automatic transmission fluid (ATF) or Manual Transmission fluid in a NISSAN CVT, as it may damage the CVT. Damage caused by the use of fluids other than as recommended is not covered under NISSAN's New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Using fluids that are not equivalent to Genuine NISSAN NS-3 CVT Fluid may also damage the CVT. SERVICE INFORMATION Applied vehicles equipped with a CVT have a "cap" that appears to be a fluid level gauge. This "cap" will NOT have a gauge or "dipstick". This is normal. Do NOT replace the "cap" because it is thought to have a "dipstick". The fluid level is not checked from this location. The fluid level for applied vehicles is checked from the oil pan (refer to the appropriate section of the Electronic Service Manual [ESM]). Whenever checking, filling, or topping off a CVT's fluid level of an applied vehicle for any reason, use the procedure outlined in the appropriate section of the ESM. SERVICE INFORMATION Related to communication codes U1000, U1001, U1002, U1010: - Always diagnose the communication codes first. - When a module reports a U1000 code, it is typically operating normally; however, there is a communication error external to that module on the CAN network. - U1000 indicates an error.
