- [20V188000](/recalls/nhtsa/20V188000.md), 2020-03-30: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:DRIVER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE. Nissan North America, Inc. \(Nissan\) is recalling certain 2012\-2017 NV Cargo and NV Passenger Van, 2013\-2015 Titan and Armada and 2011\-2012 Infiniti QX56 vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, the air bag inflator may not function properly or may rupture during deployment.
- [13V095000](/recalls/nhtsa/13V095000.md), 2013-03-15: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:LEVER AND LINKAGE:COLUMN SHIFT. Nissan is recalling certain model year 2012\-2013 NV vehicles manufactured from December 20, 2010, through January 4, 2013 and are equipped with steering column\-mounted transmission shift levers. The transmission lever gear selector plate lock clip may have been installed incorrectly. As a result, normal road vibration may cause the gear position indicator to not match the gear shift lever position. Built 2010\-12\-20 to 2013\-01\-04.
- [13V094000](/recalls/nhtsa/13V094000.md), 2013-03-14: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:LEVER AND LINKAGE:COLUMN SHIFT. Nissan is recalling certain model year 2013 Titan trucks manufactured from January 22, 2013, through February 20, 2013; and model year 2013 NV vehicles manufactured from December 17, 2012, through February 20, 2013 and equipped with steering column\-mounted transmission shift levers. Chemicals used in the manufacturing of the shift lever assembly may result in the malfunction of the brake shift interlock allowing the transmission shift lever to be shifted out of Park without depressing the brake pedal. Built 2012\-12\-17 to 2013\-02\-20.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2020136](/recalls/tc/2020136.md), 2020-03-31: Airbag. Issue: On certain vehicles, the driver\-front airbag inflator could be defective. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. It could also cause the inflator to rupture. If the airbag inflator ruptures, fragments could be propelled toward the occupants or cause damage to the airbag and prevent it from inflating properly. Safety Risk: If the vehicle is involved in a crash where the airbag deploys, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury or death. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the driver\-front airbag inflator or airbag module.
- [2013081](/recalls/tc/2013081.md), 2013-03-13: Other. On certain vehicles, a change in the solution used for anti\-rust protection \(applied during vehicle assembly\) resulted in a chemical reaction that affected the foam that is used as a sound dampener in the shifter mechanism. This may cause the foam to adhere to the lever lock, preventing it from returning to the locked position. If this occurs, the transmission gear shift lever could be moved out of the PARK position without depressing the brake pedal. Depending which gear the driver selects, the vehicle could begin to move forward or backward immediately. This movement could result in property damage, or cause the vehicle to strike a bystander, potentially resulting in personal injury. Correction: Dealers will remove the foam dampener from the shifter mechanism.
- [2013080](/recalls/tc/2013080.md), 2013-03-13: Powertrain. On certain vehicles, the transmission lever gear selector plate lock clip may have been installed incorrectly during vehicle assembly. Over time, the clip could disengage from the steering column bracket, allowing the transmission cable to move out of position. If this occurs, the transmission shift lever will not match the actual gear position. The driver would be able to remove the key from the ignition, even if the transmission is not actually in the PARK position. This could allow the vehicle to roll away, which could result in a crash causing personal injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, reposition the clip.
