- [20V188000](/recalls/nhtsa/20V188000.md), 2020-03-30: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:DRIVER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE. Nissan North America, Inc. \(Nissan\) is recalling certain 2012\-2017 NV Cargo and NV Passenger Van, 2013\-2015 Titan and Armada and 2011\-2012 Infiniti QX56 vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, the air bag inflator may not function properly or may rupture during deployment.
- [13V095000](/recalls/nhtsa/13V095000.md), 2013-03-15: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:LEVER AND LINKAGE:COLUMN SHIFT. Nissan is recalling certain model year 2012\-2013 NV vehicles manufactured from December 20, 2010, through January 4, 2013 and are equipped with steering column\-mounted transmission shift levers. The transmission lever gear selector plate lock clip may have been installed incorrectly. As a result, normal road vibration may cause the gear position indicator to not match the gear shift lever position. Built 2010\-12\-20 to 2013\-01\-04.
- [11V592000](/recalls/nhtsa/11V592000.md), 2011-12-19: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 INFINITI FX, MODEL YEAR 2012 INFINITI M, MODEL YEAR 2011\-2012 NISSAN FRONTIER, MODEL YEAR 2011\-2012 NISSAN XTERRA, MODEL YEAR 2011\-2012 NISSAN PATHFINDER, AND MODEL YEAR 2012 NISSAN NV VEHICLES. SOME OF THE BOLTS THAT CONNECT THE ENGINE OIL COOLER AND THE ENGINE OIL FILTER TO THE ENGINE IN THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED TO BELOW SPECIFICATION STRENGTH. AS A RESULT, THE BOLT MAY BREAK AT THE OIL FILTER ATTACHMENT POINT AND CAN CAUSE AN ENGINE OIL LEAK.
- [11V408000](/recalls/nhtsa/11V408000.md), 2011-08-09: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE\-INACTIVE. NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2012 NISSAN ALTIMA VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM JUNE 15, 2011, THROUGH JUNE 21, 2011 AND MODEL YEAR 2012 NISSAN NV VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM JUNE 23, 2011, THROUGH JUNE 28, 2011 BECAUSE THE AIR BAG CONTROL UNIT \(ACU\) WAS ASSEMBLED INCORRECTLY. ## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2020136](/recalls/tc/2020136.md), 2020-03-31: Airbag. Issue: On certain vehicles, the driver\-front airbag inflator could be defective. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. It could also cause the inflator to rupture. If the airbag inflator ruptures, fragments could be propelled toward the occupants or cause damage to the airbag and prevent it from inflating properly. Safety Risk: If the vehicle is involved in a crash where the airbag deploys, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury or death. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the driver\-front airbag inflator or airbag module.
- [2013080](/recalls/tc/2013080.md), 2013-03-13: Powertrain. On certain vehicles, the transmission lever gear selector plate lock clip may have been installed incorrectly during vehicle assembly. Over time, the clip could disengage from the steering column bracket, allowing the transmission cable to move out of position. If this occurs, the transmission shift lever will not match the actual gear position. The driver would be able to remove the key from the ignition, even if the transmission is not actually in the PARK position. This could allow the vehicle to roll away, which could result in a crash causing personal injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, reposition the clip.
- [2011436](/recalls/tc/2011436.md), 2011-12-20: Engine. On certain vehicles, the engine oil cooler stud \(onto which the oil filter is mounted\) could fail. This could cause an engine oil leak, which could illuminate the instrument panel's engine oil warning lamp. Abnormal noise and rough engine performance may also be noticed and, in the worst case, the engine could fail and stop suddenly while the vehicle is in motion. Engine failure would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the engine oil cooler connector stud.
