- [16V181000](/recalls/nhtsa/16V181000.md), 2016-03-31: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:FRONT UNDERHOOD; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY. Nissan North America, Inc. \(Nissan\) is recalling certain 2016 Frontier V6 vehicles manufactured February 29, 2016, to March 7, 2016.  The starter motor wire harness may have been installed in an incorrect position, allowing the starter harness terminal to contact the heat shield and result in an electrical short. Built 2016\-02\-29 to 2016\-03\-07.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2016150](/recalls/tc/2016150.md), 2016-04-07: Electrical. On certain vehicles equipped with a V6 engine, the starter motor wiring harness may have been installed in an incorrect position. This could cause the wiring harness to come in contact with the starter heat shield resulting in an electrical short, which would increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction : Dealers will inspect and reposition the wiring harness as necessary.
