SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR INFOTAINMENT ISSUES SERVICE INFORMATION When diagnosing an infotainment issue, always confirm that the latest software is installed in the AV control unit before starting the diagnosis. The software update in the following service procedure is to address the items below: • Stability improvements and “bug” fixes. • Android Auto skips while playing music. Refer to steps 1 - 4 to confirm that this bulletin applies. HINT: The update-software only needs to be downloaded once and then can then be used on multiple vehicles until other infotainment software is loaded onto the USB drive to overwrite the original data.

NOTE: The exploded views in the 2019 and 2020 Altima ESM may incorrectly label the exhaust valve timing control solenoid valve and the exhaust valve timing intermediate lock control solenoid valve. The exhaust valve timing control solenoid valve is positioned below the exhaust valve timing intermediate lock control solenoid valve on the front cover.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:ADAS:BLINDSPOT:SENSORS; EQUIPMENT. 2020 ALTIMA; BLIND SPOT WARNING AND/OR REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY IF YOU CONFIRM • The customer states the Blind Spot Warning indicator does not illuminate while driving when there is a vehicle in one of the detection zones (outlined in green in Figure 1). Or • The customer states the Rear Cross Traffic Alert indicator does not illuminate while in reverse and a car is approaching the side of the vehicle near the rear bumper. Or • Unavailable Side Radar Obstruction is displayed in the Vehicle Information Display. HINT: DTC C1E11-97 or C1E91-97 (SENSOR BLOCKAGE, SOW DETECTS A BLOCKAGE) may be stored as a past DTC. If any DTCs other than C1E11-97 or C1E91-97 are stored, diagnose those DTCs before proceeding with this bulletin. ACTION 1. Confirm the current ICC/ADAS 2 part number. 2. Reprogram the ICC/ADAS 2 and perform the blind spot warning action test, if applicable.

VCR Engine Inspection *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a quality action on 10 specific MY 2020 Altima (L34) vehicles identified in Service Comm, to remove and inspect the lower engine oil pan. Affected vehicles are subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. *****What Dealers Should Do***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open Campaigns I.D. PC724 • - New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). • - Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information • - Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. Please do not drive, sell, loan or trade the specific 2020 Altima vehicles in Dealer Inventory subject to this Quality Action. 3. Use the attached procedure to inspect the vehicle. • - If no gold colored debris is found in the lower engine oil pan, reseal the oil pan per the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). • - File a claim for the inspection, and release the vehicle for sale • - If gold colored debris is found in the lower engine oil pan, provide the requested information in an email to nnafqasupport@nissan-usa.com and HOLD the vehicle. • - Do not file a claim Nissan Field Quality will review the E-mail submissions within two (2) business days of receipt and provide further instruction.
NTB19-1182020-01-09. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. ALTIMA, KICKS AND VERSA SEDAN; MIL ON WITH DTC B26FE IF YOU CONFIRM • A “Key System Error” message is displayed on the combination meter, And • DTC B26FE (IPDM - KEY SYSTEM ERROR) is stored in the BCM. ACTION 1. Disconnect the main power harness connector from the IPDM (E16 for Altima and E42 for Kicks and Versa Sedan). • - See Figure 1, Figure 2 and Figure 3 on the next page for IPDM main power harness connector locations. 2. Wait at least 20 seconds. 3. Reconnect the main power harness connector to the IPDM. 4. Confirm that the DTC is now past, and then erase the DTC. If the DTC will not erase, refer to the Electronic Service Manual for additional diagnostic information.

NOTE: • - If any DTCs other than P0742 or P187E are stored in the TCM, this bulletin does not apply. Refer to the ESM for diagnostic information. • - If the customer reports an engine stall concern, this bulletin does not apply. Refer to the ESM for diagnostic information. ACTION 1. Refer to step 1 on page 2 to confirm this bulletin applies to the vehicle you are working on. 2. If this bulletin applies, reprogram the TCM (Transmission Control Module).

EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. 2019-2020 ALTIMA; FOAM OUT OF POSITION AND VISIBLE AT LEADING EDGE OF INSTRUMENT PANEL IF YOU CONFIRM There is foam out of position and visible between the leading edge of the instrument panel and the bottom of the windshield (Figure 1 shows foam out of position as viewed from outside the vehicle on the passenger side). ACTION Remove the foam following the SERVICE PROCEDURE on the next page.

Service Comm will de-active PC707 on any unrepaired VINs on November 15, 2019. Please inspect and, if necessary, remedy any vehicles with an open campaign prior to November 15, 2019.
