- [LI42.10\-P\-078779](/bulletins/11038186.md), 2026-10-06, Service bulletin: SERVICE BRAKES. Complaint Repeat workshop visit for vehicle vibration while braking from 60MPH. NOTE: Although the symptom is similar to a tire or wheel vibration, it is usually readily noticeable that it is distinctly different if it happens at all times or only while braking. Cause Although the cause of the vibration is most likely due to excessive lateral runout on the rotor or hub/wheel bearing, the system as a whole needs to be checked for other possible contributors. 1. Prior collision damage. 2. Excessive vehicle sitting times without rotating components. 3. Wheel bearing/hub lateral runout. 4. Wheel mating interface has been overtightened \(did not follow WIS torque procedures\). 5. Mating interfaces have been excessively modified \(painted, gouged, bent, etc...\). Remedy Read through the entire attached worksheet prior to performing. After performing, please review the final page and perform work accordingly. NOTE: This document is not pre‑authorization or otherwise dealing with warranty. This is intended for diagnostic purposes only. If there are any questions on how to proceed OR The work sheet has been performed and the vehicle has returned with the same concern. - [LI42.10\-P\-063502](/bulletins/11037487.md), 2026-09-25, Service bulletin: SERVICE BRAKES. Complaint Noises/ squealing from the service brake in various driving situations and ambient conditions. Cause Frictional vibrations Remedy The intent of this document is to reduce noise from high performance AMG brakes. AMG brakes are designed for performance under high load and in certain scenarios, can emit noise. Some scenarios are normal and some are induced by driving style like those listed below: • Driving style such as two footed driving where the pad might be in constant contact with the rotor. • Brake pressure and application style \(stop‑and‑go traffic with consistent light brake pressure “riding brakes” where the brakes cannot cool sufficiently between applications\). This can cause the brake pads to glaze and have a smooth/glassy surface which can induce noise. • When ambient temperatures rise during summer peak and during cooling and cold winter months. 1. Beginning Diagnostics: a\) Check whether the complaint can be reproduced and at which axle or side the noises occur \(ideally together with the customer while driving\). b\) Check the affected system for component wear, mechanical damage or localized overheating damage. Replace damaged components as necessary. c\) Assess condition of brake rotors and pads per WIS and visually \(i.e. long periods of stagnation, etc...\). d\) Clean brake components free of brake dust and debris. d\) Secure vehicle on a lift. 1. Start the engine and depress the brake pedal 3‑4 times. 2. Check each wheel to see if they turn freely by hand. 3. If a wheel is not turning freely by hand, this needs to be addressed prior to re‑assessing the noise concern. e\) Check whether, apart from this document, an additional document exists for the specific model in question, and if so, work through it and then continue. 2. Specific Axle Work: NOTE: If the brake pad has a metal backing plate, there is no need to affix the adhesive film. Continue with applying chamfer and Molykote as instructed below. IMPORTANT: Be absolutely certain to not allow paste between friction surfaces of the pad and disc\! a\) If the noises are coming from the front axle. 1. Remove brake linings of front axle. 2. Clean all contact points on brake lining backing plate, including the brake lining guide pins and brake caliper/carrier. 3. Clean bonding surface \(where pistons contact back of brake pad\). Apply adhesive film to the backplate of the piston‑side brake lining where the piston contacts the pad backing plate. See picture "Adhesive and Paste Application Area". 4. Be sure to remove both brown paper backing sides of the adhesive film, it is double sided adhesive film. 5. If adhesive is already installed on backing plate where pistons contact the back of the pad, you may gently scrape off and re‑apply a new adhesive or Molykote. Must not apply the Molykote on top of the adhesive. 6. Chamfer edges \(gently round off sharp leading edges\) on brake pads. Some pads have vertical grooves, these can be gently chamfered with a triangular file as well. See picture "Chamfering Technique". 7. Apply Molykote to the sides of the backing plate. See picture "Adhesive and Paste Application Area". 8. After installing the brake linings, actuate the brake for 30 seconds. b\) If the noises are coming from the rear axle. 1. Remove brake pads of rear axle. 2. Clean all contact points on brake lining backing plate and brake caliper /carrier. 3. Clean bonding surface \(where pistons contact back of brake pad\). Apply adhesive film to the backplate of the piston‑side brake lining. 4. Chamfer edges \(round off sharp leading edges\) on brake pads. See picture "Chamfering Technique". 5. Grease contact points \(red areas on attachment "Rear Pad Grease Area"\) between brake lining and guide of brake caliper with Molykote. 3. Brake Bedding Process: a\) Before trip, the mileage incurred must be clarified with the customer \(approx. 30 miles\). b\) Select a suitable route so speeds of approximately 65 MPH can be achieved. c\) If the vehicle is an AMG P3 Hybrid, switch off

- [LI20.10\-P\-072886](/bulletins/11035234.md), 2026-07-27, Service bulletin: ENGINE. Complaint Check Engine Light ON with DTC P012800 "The Coolant Temperature is Below the Specified Temperature" active and/or stored in the ME \(N3/10\). There are no drivability concerns related to this complaint. Cause Root cause varies Remedy Prior to performing any repairs for this complaint: With a cold engine, pressurize the high temp coolant circuit and while it's under pressure, release the cap on the low temp coolant circuit and check if the pressure drops right away or not. If the pressure drops, the lower coolant hoses are swapped. Correct this, fill, bleed and test drive the vehicle. If the complaint returns, then continue with the steps below. IMPORTANT: Use VMI to check for the following emission extended warranty –\> Engine Thermostat \(incl. software update\) MY19\-23, Various Models and Platforms \(167, 190, 205, 213, 217, 222, 223, 232, 253, 290, 463\) If the vehicle is covered under the above emission extended warranty, please perform steps outlined in the accompanying NCU prior to those outlined in this document. If vehicle is not covered under the above emission extended warranty or the complaint continues to occur, then proceed as follows: Check for available software updates to the ME \(N3/10\). If updated software is available, perform the update, clear the DTC and the perform each of the "WARM START" and "COLD START" test drives listed below twice. If the code does not re\-appear then release the vehicle. If there is no new software available OR the DTC returns after the test drives then perform the following steps: • Drain the coolant through a fine mesh sieve and check for signs of debris. Additionally, inspect the coolant reservoir for debris. If any debris is found take pictures of the reservoir and the mesh filter and "flush" the system at least 2\-3 times to clear as much of the debris as possible • Replace the thermostat and bleed the system as outlined in AR20.00\-P\-1142\-04A, evacuate the system for 20\-30 minutes instead of the 5 minutes specified in step 22 • NOTE: Please use all the tools specified in the AR document. The DTC will continue to populate if the circuit is not properly bled • NOTE: There are two valid thermostats to choose from in the parts section of this LI. Please verify which PN is applicable for the vehicle being worked on via XENTRY Parts Information • After bleeding the system clear the DTC and perform each of the "WARM START" and "COLD START" test drives listed below twice. If the DTC does not reappear after the tests, release the vehicle If the ME \(N3/10\) software is up to date, the thermostat has already been replaced, and the complaint persists open a TIPS case and attach the following documents: • Initial quick test • ME \(N3/10\) control unit log • The results of an R48 test from a “yes” response and from a “no” response • Pictures of the coolant reservoir and mesh sieve \(mentioned above\) WARM START · Begin with the engine coolant temperature at approximately 50 degrees C · Activate the AC system, if defrost is not in use open the windows · Drive the car normally until a coolant temperature of 75 degrees C is achieved · Depress the accelerator pedal 50% for \~5 seconds \(partial acceleration\) · Let off the accelerator pedal and let the car coast for \~10 seconds · Continue to drive the car normally COLD START · Drive for \~7 miles \(normal driving\) · Shut off the engine in a parking lot \(or similar\), wait 30 seconds, then restart and continue driving · Depress the accelerator pedal 50% for \~5 seconds \(partial acceleration\) · Let off the accelerator pedal and let the car coast for \~10 seconds · Continue to drive the car normally
- [LI82.60\-P\-080806](/bulletins/11035230.md), 2026-07-27, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Complaint After an "Over the Air" update \(OTA\), FM or SDARS radio reception is limited; only a few stations are found. Cause The firmware installation was incomplete. - [LI54.21\-P\-080326](/bulletins/11035217.md), 2026-07-24, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Complaint CEL light on with no drivability concerns. Cause Signal timing error. Remedy 167, 465: SW has been released. Update the FSAM to the latest SW version. 290, 118, 243, 247: Software is still in development. This fault code does not cause a drivability concern and will clear itself within 2\-3 key cycles. The vehicle can be released back to the customer.
- [LI40.10\-P\-059248](/bulletins/11035214.md), 2026-07-24, Service bulletin: STRUCTURE:BODY; WHEELS. Complaint Crackling and cracking noise from the outer wheel on the front axle when cornering Cause The noise is generated by a micromovement on the contact surface between the rim and the brake disk \(wheel bolt group\) and may be intensified by potential soiling. The more lightweight rim \(AMG forged rim\) transmits the noise louder; in the case of cast rims, the noise is generally not perceptible. This is not a technical defect, but rather a complaint concerning comfort. Safe operation of the vehicle is ensured at all times. Remedy Important note: The operations described below do not represent a permanent remedy in every case. The noise may reoccur again after an indefinite period of time; sanding the rims with abrasive media multiple times is not permissible. Only cleaning using the Hazet tool 4960\-160 \(recommendation\) can be performed without any concerns each time the wheel is changed or if the complaint reoccurs. Replacing the parts \(rim, wheel bolts, wheel bearings, wheel hub, brake disk\) is not expedient in the event of this complaint. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- Clean the components of the wheel bolt connection according to the WIS instructions Sand down the rim and brake disk bowl by performing the following steps: • Manually sand rim \(old design only\) in area of water drain bores \(Figure 1; item A\), approx. 1.5 cm left and right of water drain bore \(Figure 2\) Note: Use abrasive paper with grit size 80. The grooving in this area should no longer be visible \(sand down approx. 0.1\-0.2mm\) • Also sand brake disk bowl using emery cloth or abrasive paper with a grain size of 120 • For vehicles equipped with the AMG ceramic brake system \(B07\), abrasive paper may not be used for cleaning on the brake disk side Note: Do not use any cleaning agent when cleaning on the rim side. Cleaning using abrasive paper with a grain size of 80 will suffice. Do not apply any grease, lubricant or paste after cleaning The brake disk bowl should be "bare metal" in the area of the imprints made by the hole \(Figure 3\)
- [LI88.50\-P\-080263](/bulletins/11035018.md), 2026-07-14, Service bulletin: STRUCTURE:BODY. Complaint The trunk lid does not open or close completely and must be operated manually by the customer. The following fault codes are stored in the PTCM control unit: • P1CA000 • B188C2A Cause If the trunk lid is repeatedly opened manually or the vehicle has experienced undervoltage, the trunk lid loses its normalization due to faulty software coding. Remedy For vehicles with a production date up to 01/22/26 \(SL \(232\)\) or 01/27/26 \(GT \(192\)\) 1. Update the HKS N121/1 control unit and perform SCN coding. \(If no new software is available, still perform SCN coding\) 2. Perform normalization of component 'N121/1 \(Liftgate control control unit\)'. Vehicles produced from January 22, 2026 \(SL \(232\)\) and January 27, 2026 \(GT \(192\)\) onward were factory\-fitted with the correct Software Calibration Number Table.
- [LI67.30\-P\-078468](/bulletins/11035017.md), 2026-07-14, Service bulletin: STRUCTURE:BODY. Complaint Creaking/cracking sounds detectable in upper area of the side window panes Cause A locating rivet used during vehicle production to hold the side window pane in the correct position relative to the body\- in\-white. Remedy The rivet can be removed as follows: 1. Loosen upper molded part of seal from B\-pillar bar and body\-in\-white flange → CAREFUL: Do not pull off too far \(attachment 1\). 2. Secure rivet set on back with butyl ball so that it does not become lost during next operation steps. Protect glass using doubled\-up adhesive tape \(attachment 2\). 3. Bore rivet head from outside \(drill bit diameter 8mm\) and suction off shavings at the same time → CAREFUL: Avoid shavings falling between B\-pillar bar and seal \(attachment 3\). Drive remaining rivet inward with a punch \(d=3mm\) \(attachment 4\) and remove. The butyl ball from Step 2 prevents it from falling down. 4. Seal opening formed by bored rivet head with a butyl ball d=4mm from inside to outside \(attachment 5\). Seal sanding spot at B\-pillar bar against corrosion with black touch\-up paint pen. 5. Fix seal in place at B\-pillar bar again.
