The bonding between the carbon\-fiber driveshaft and the flange may be insufficient, which could result in driveshaft separation.

Mercedes\-Benz USA, LLC \(MBUSA\) is recalling certain model year 2016 AMG GT S vehicles manufactured June 1, 2015 to July 24, 2015.  In affected vehicles, the adhesive bond between the carbon\-fiber driveshaft and the rear flange may fail, and as a result, there may be a loss of torque to the rear wheels. Built 2015\-06\-01 to 2015\-07\-24.

- [2021402](/recalls/tc/2021402.md), 2021-06-30: Powertrain. Issue: On certain vehicles, the driveshaft may detach from the transmission flange. This could cause a loss of power to the drive wheels.  Safety Risk: A loss of power to the drive wheels could increase the risk of a crash.  Corrective Actions: Mercedes\-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect, and if necessary, replace the carbon\-fiber driveshaft.
- [2019300](/recalls/tc/2019300.md), 2019-06-17: Powertrain. Issue: On certain vehicles, the driveshaft may detach from the transmission flange. This could cause a loss of power to the drive wheels.  Safety Risk: A loss of power to the drive wheels could increase the risk of a crash.  Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the carbon\-fiber driveshaft.
