# Recalls that may apply to the 2025 Mazda MX\-5

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

## United States (NHTSA), as of 2026-10-19

- [25V336000](/recalls/nhtsa/25V336000.md), 2025-05-22: ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL \(ESC\):CONTROL MODULE; TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM. Mazda North American Operations \(Mazda\) is recalling certain 2024\-2025 Mazda MX\-5 vehicles. The Traction Control System \(TCS\) and Dynamic Stability Control \(DSC\) indicator light may fail to illuminate as intended due to a software error. As such, these vehicles fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems." Built to 2025\-02\-28.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2025275](/recalls/tc/2025275.md), 2025-05-22: Lights And Instruments. Issue: Under certain conditions, a software problem in the dynamic stability control \(DSC\) unit could cause the traction control system \(TCS\) / DSC indicator light not to turn on. As a result, the vehicles may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: An indicator that doesn't turn on could cause you not to be aware of a problem with the TCS/DSC system. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the DSC unit with an improved part.
