Service bulletins for the 2023 Mazda MX-30
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 04-003-25a | 2026-01-03. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Some vehicles may experience premature wear of the front inner brake pads. The pads wear down by about 0.1 in (3 mm) every 6200 miles (10,000 km), and may require replacement at less than 12,400 miles (20,000 km). This is caused by intrusion of dirt and sand into the gap between the pad and the rotor. To eliminate this concern, the shape of the dust cover has been changed, and the brake pad chamfer shape has been revised. |

| SA-055-25 | 2025-12-05. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Some vehicles exhibit brake related concerns such as brake noise, brake judder or brake dragging. If you encounter a customer complaint for any one of these symptoms, refer to the following information to understand why symptoms may occur, and to better assist the customer in resolving their specific brake concern. NOTE: Before following this Service Alert repair procedure, ensure published TSBs in MGSS have been completed per model year. |
| SA-051-25 | 2025-12-05. Service bulletin. STEERING; SUSPENSION; POWER TRAIN; WHEELS. Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) Diagnostic Guidelines Diagnostic Guidelines When diagnosing NVH concerns, it is essential to first classify the issue into one of three primary categories: Noise, Vibration, or Harshness. Many customer complaints may involve overlapping symptoms, such as both noise and vibration, so identifying the dominant characteristic is critical. Once the primary symptom is determined, follow the appropriate diagnostic path. For example, if a concern includes both noise and vibration but is related to vehicle speed, the vibration diagnostic path should be followed. When considering component replacement during the diagnostic process, it is best practice to start with the lowest cost or most accessible part unless diagnostic evidence clearly identifies a more expensive or complex component as the root cause. This approach helps minimize repair costs and avoids unnecessary part replacements. For example, a growling or bearing whine noise may be mistakenly attributed to internal components in the differential, transfer unit, or transmission, when the actual source is a wheel bearing. Misdiagnosis like this can lead to unnecessary repairs, added time and cost. To help prevent this, always follow the guidelines in the repair procedure. |
| SA-047-25 | 2025-11-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. When the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) replacement is necessary due to a failure, use MDARS to activate the new TCU after replacement. Use the information in this service alert to initialize the new TCU until the procedure on MGSS is updated. |
| SA-044-25 | 2025-11-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. For improvement of electrical diagnosis, the SKYACTIV® Wiring Terminal Test Kits has been delivered all the dealers. The terminal test kit enables you: To check pin fit drag of all PCM terminals used in SKYACTIV® vehicles and compare suspect terminal drag with a known good terminal. To measure the voltage/resistance avoiding any terminal damage. |
| SA-029-25a | 2025-11-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This service information provides testing and charging procedures in order to promote proper battery maintenance, to deliver new vehicles with fully charged batteries, and to reduce unnecessary battery replacement cost. For new vehicles in stock at the dealer, inspect and maintain the batteries periodically according to the repair procedure. |
| SA-012-25c | 2025-11-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Customers having MAZDA CONNECT concerns should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. |
| SA-007-25b | 2025-11-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. The Mazda DCA-8000 is required for all warranty battery testing. If the Mazda DCA-8000 is not used, incorrect battery testing may result in unnecessary battery replacement. Use the following test procedures in this Service Bulletin to test Mazda vehicle batteries and to generate a Warranty Code. NOTE: A Warranty Code is required for warranty claim submission Battery Identification (Mazda batteries have 2 rating types) 1. JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard): JIS codes are six-digit alpha-numeric markings (excluding i-STOP batteries e.g. Q-85, S-95) molded into the top of the battery to identify a battery by the capacity (amps), dimensions, and battery terminal type. Vehicles manufactured in Japan come from the factory with a JIS rated battery. NOTE: Replacement batteries may use a CCA rating. If so, use the CCA rating listed on the battery. |
| 30-002-25 | 2025-11-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may exhibit sparks when the charging cable is connected or disconnected during AC charging. Removing the charging cable while it is energized can cause sparks because the air’s insulation breaks down. To eliminate this concern, the control logic of the PCM has been modified to temporarily stop AC charging upon a door unlock trigger. |

The pads wear down by about 0.1 in (3 mm) every 6200 miles (10,000 km), and may require replacement at less than 12,400 miles (20,000 km). | SA-043-25 | 2025-10-03. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some vehicles may have one of the following DTCs stored in memory along with a system status notice on the Multi-information display OR display a system status notice with no DTC: C1001:92 - Forward sensing camera (FSC) poor field of view [Gen 6 vehicles] B14F0:92 - General temporary failure in forward sensing camera (FSC) [Gen 7 vehicles built on or before March 2, 2019] No DTC - Warning Message only [Gen 7 vehicles built after March 2, 2019] DTC C1001:92 or B14F0:92 set as a past record for low visibility of the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC). It does not mean there is an actual FSC defect. In some cases the customer may have a concern with the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and/or High Beam Control system (HBC). In other cases this DTC might be found without a related customer concern. |
| SA-042-25 | 2025-10-03. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. | SA-039/25 | 2025-09-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage such (melted, separating, etc.) when parked near a glass building or Low-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection. If a structure's windows create enough of a curve, the concave glass can focus the sun's rays onto a small area and acting like magnifiying glass direct the sunbeams into a hot pinpoint of light. This magnifcation of the sun's rays can cause damage to vehicle trim (see examples). Additional information and exemplar images regarding this phenomenon can be found by performing a google search. |
| SA-038-25 | 2025-09-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may notice an abnormal noise (i.e. whine, groan, rattle or squeak) coming from the front combination lights when turning them on, or a few minutes after turning them off. The noise may be due to contamination by foreign matter during the manufacturing process and the fan motor bearing may become worn out during use. To eliminate this concern, the fan motor has been modified. NOTE: It is normal for some noise to occur within the first few seconds after starting the engine, when the front combination lights perform a self check (sweep). |
