| MT-004-22 | 2023-01-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may experience the Check Engine Light ON with DTC P0171 (Fuel Trim too Lean) and possibly DTCs P030X (Misfire). Vehicles having this concern should use the following Inspection/Repair procedure. |
| 01-011-22a | 2022-12-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may have a "LOW ENGINE OIL LEVEL" warning message and a CHECK ENGINE light illuminated in the instrument cluster with DTC P250F:00 stored in memory, and the oil level has actually decreased to near low. - DTC P250F:00 - Engine oil level signal: engine oil level low This is caused by an oil consumption increase due to damage of the valve seals on the exhaust side. To eliminate this concern, the design of these valve seals has been modified. |
| 01-013-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some customers may experience the CHECK ENGINE light ON with DTC P0126:00 (Thermostat stuck open) and one or more of the following symptoms: * The engine takes longer to warm up * The engine temperature gauge fluctuates * The low coolant temperature indicator (blue) light stays on longer or comes on while driving * Poor heater performance, especially at idle NOTE: * Vehicles with SKYACTIV-G 2.5T are not applicable. * If DTC P2B61:00 (Coolant control valve circuit range/performance) accompanies, this information is not applicable. Diagnose according to the instructions in MGSS. Due to production variety of the failsafe thermostat integrated in the coolant control valve, engine coolant may enter into a dry hollow in the failsafe thermostat, resulting in unintended opening of the failsafe thermostat at lower temperatures (104-176 °F (40-80 °C)). To eliminate this concern, the production process of the coolant control valve has been modified. |
| 01-012-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may exhibit accumulation of dried coolant (1) around the water pipe (2). This is caused by a gap between the housing and pipe due to a press fitting during the manufacturing process. The accumulated coolant is solidified and plugs the gap in high temperature environment and the seepage is stopped and does not progress. This is normal and does not require a part replacement, clean off the dried coolant from around the pipe with a wire brush. |
| 01-011-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may have a "OW ENGINE OIL LEVEL" warning message and a CHECK ENGINE light illuminated in the instrument cluster with DTC P250F:00 stored in memory, and the oil level has actually decreased to near low. * DTC P250F:00 - Engine oil level signal: engine oil level low This is caused by an oil consumption increase due to damage of the valve seals on the exhaust side. To eliminate this concern, the design of these valve seals has been modified. |
| SA-065-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles equipped with a coolant control valve may exhibit difficulties when refilling the coolant because the control valve is closed and air in the engine cannot escape during ignition ON. Therefore, turn the ignition OFF when refilling engine coolant using the radiator filler neck. |
