MT-001-222022-03-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE. Some customers may report concerns with interior upholstery surface stains particularly on high contact areas (e.g.: steering wheel, door panels, shifter...etc.). This may be caused by skin oils or chemicals such as hand lotions. Use a clean towel damped in leather/vinyl cleaner or mild soap to clean the steering wheel. NOTE: Upholstery maintenance and care information can also be found in the Owner's Manual.
09-004/222022-02-04. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some CX-5 and CX-30 customers may find that the liftgate does not close when pressing the power liftgate (PLG) rear switch (A) located on the interior liftgate trim. This may be caused by PLG switch corrosion. Water from a high pressure car washer and/or condensation may drip onto the switch connector and cause corrosion. To eliminate this concern, the PLG rear switch has been modified with a waterproof connector. Some Mazda3, CX-30 and MX-30 customers may complain that the vehicle door locking system does not work when the door lock switch on the liftgate interior trim is pressed. DTC B11C4:23 (BCM - liftgate lock switch circuit malfunction) may be stored. This may be caused during a high pressure car wash and/or condensation. Water may enter through the rear center brand emblem base component and drip onto the switch connector causing corrosion. The rusted connector may also cause a battery drain. To eliminate this concern, the rear center brand emblem base has been modified to prevent water entry (Mazda3) and the rear harness has been modified to prevent water infiltration (Mazda3, CX-30 and MX-30).
SA-002/222022-02-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. Some vehicles may have a "Low Battery Risk. Start Vehicle to Charge 12V Battery" warning message in the instrument cluster and a 30 second alarm sound. This is caused by the vehicle's electrical control area network (CAN) entering "Sleep Mode" when the network awake time reaches 30 cumulative minutes without the engine running. The vehicle network starts to wake-up at the moment any side door is opened in order to increase the start-up speed of electrical components and the network awake cumulative time count begins by the customer doing any one of the following wake-up triggers: Open any door(s), Unlock doors, Open liftgate, Depress brake pedal, Push start/stop button, Other operations that wake-up the network.
