Service bulletins for the 2022 Mazda Mazda3
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 01-011-22a | 2022-12-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may have a "LOW ENGINE OIL LEVEL" warning message and a CHECK ENGINE light illuminated in the instrument cluster with DTC P250F:00 stored in memory, and the oil level has actually decreased to near low. - DTC P250F:00 - Engine oil level signal: engine oil level low This is caused by an oil consumption increase due to damage of the valve seals on the exhaust side. To eliminate this concern, the design of these valve seals has been modified. |
| 01-012-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may exhibit accumulation of dried coolant (1) around the water pipe (2). This is caused by a gap between the housing and pipe due to a press fitting during the manufacturing process. The accumulated coolant is solidified and plugs the gap in high temperature environment and the seepage is stopped and does not progress. This is normal and does not require a part replacement, clean off the dried coolant from around the pipe with a wire brush. |
| 01-011-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may have a "OW ENGINE OIL LEVEL" warning message and a CHECK ENGINE light illuminated in the instrument cluster with DTC P250F:00 stored in memory, and the oil level has actually decreased to near low. * DTC P250F:00 - Engine oil level signal: engine oil level low This is caused by an oil consumption increase due to damage of the valve seals on the exhaust side. | SA-065-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles equipped with a coolant control valve may exhibit difficulties when refilling the coolant because the control valve is closed and air in the engine cannot escape during ignition ON. Therefore, turn the ignition OFF when refilling engine coolant using the radiator filler neck. |
| SA-023-22 | 2022-05-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. A tapping/rattling noise may be noticed from the valve train area. This operating condition can occur on new vehicles which have been delivered to Mazda dealers (due to loading and unloading from transport trucks or customers moving their vehicles in and out of their garages to wash the vehicle, etc.). This condition may also occur if the engine is not allowed to warm up after multiple cold starts. |
| SA-018-22 | 2022-05-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. The WSM shows 3 possible crankshaft sprocket and timing chain combinations (Type A, B and C), but some vehicles have been produced with a combination of Type A timing chain with 2 yellow-colored links with a Type B crankshaft sprocket. |
| 00-001-22 | 2022-03-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; STEERING. Mazda has developed factory recommended scheduled maintenance services that support all major vehicle systems. Mazda recommends dealers follow the scheduled maintenance tables as cited in the vehicle-specific workshop manual or owner's manual. Services performed outside of Mazda's factory scheduled maintenance are not recommended. These services are unnecessary and create unneeded expenses for your customers. |
