Service bulletins for the 2026 Mazda CX-90
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SA-034-26 | 2026-06-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. This service alert supersedes the previously issued service alert listed below. The changes are noted in Red text. SA-047/25 10/07/25 DESCRIPTION When the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) replacement is necessary due to a failure, use MDARS to activate the new TCU after replacement. Use the information in this service alert to initialize the new TCU until the procedure on MGSS is updated. CAUTION: DO NOT swap TCU with another vehicle as the TCU is VIN locked after activation. A TCU swap with another vehicle will disable Connected Services on both vehicles. • If TCU activation is not performed, connected vehicle functions will not operate. This will have a negative impact on the customer because they will need to return to the dealer for repairs. • If the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) replacement is necessary, check "Vehicle Communication Line Status Reference" status detail first. The TCU can only be replaced under the following "Status Detail" conditions: Open Completed (OK) ○ Closed Completed (OK) ○ ○ If the TCU is replaced under the following "Status Detail" conditions, the customer may not be able to enroll into the replacement TCU. Processing (NG) ○ Request Failed (NG) ○ Open Failed (NG) ○ Flag Setting Failed TCU Activation 1. Install the new TCU. |

| MSP66 Warr b | 2026-05-05. Service campaign. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. 2024-2026 CX-90 and 2025-2026 CX-70 Engine Warning Light Illumination with DTC P0DAB CONDITION OF CONCERN On certain subject vehicles, the engine warning light may illuminate, and the vehicle may be limited to engine-only operation due to activation of the fail-safe mode. Motor assist, i-stop and motor regenerative functions may be disabled, although the vehicle is safe to drive. The DTC P0DAB (Cell voltage variation malfunction) may be stored. Causal factor: Improper software in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and - MHB in MDARS display - BECM (Battery Energy Control Module). OUTLINE OF REPAIR Reprogram the PCM and MHB with the Mazda Modular Diagnostic System (M-MDS), using Mazda Diagnostic And Repair Software (MDARS). Note: The TCM may or may not be reprogrammed, please see below for the claim type depending on whether the TCM was programmed or not programmed. All 2026MY vehicles do not require TCM programming. Older vehicles especially with recent software or campaign updates will already have the TCM at the latest software version and will not be programmed. |
| SA-027-26 | 2026-05-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This SA supersedes the previously issued bulletin(s) listed below. The changes are noted below in Red. SA-007/25 10/22/25, 06/02/25 and 02/03/25 DESCRIPTION The Mazda DCA-8000 is required for all warranty battery testing. If the Mazda DCA-8000 is not used, incorrect battery testing may result in unnecessary battery replacement. Use the following test procedures in this Service Bulletin to test Mazda vehicle batteries and to generate a Warranty Code. NOTE: A Warranty Code is required for warranty claim submission Battery Identification (Mazda batteries have 2 rating types) 1. JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard): JIS codes are six-digit alpha-numeric markings (excluding i-STOP batteries e.g. Q-85, S-95) molded into the top of the battery to identify a battery by the capacity (amps), dimensions, and battery terminal type. Vehicles manufactured in Japan come from the factory with a JIS rated battery. NOTE: Replacement batteries may use a CCA rating. If so, use the CCA rating listed on the battery. 2. CCA (Cold Cranking Amps): CCA ratings are normally located on a sticker affixed to the top of the battery to indicate a battery’s Cold Cranking Amps. CCA rated batteries are supplied with domestically produced vehicles. NOTE: If an incorrect CCA rating is entered into the Mazda DCA-8000, it will result in a false result and invalid Warranty Code from the tester. This will also result in unnecessary replacement of batteries. TEST PROCEDURE 1. Connect the charger clamps to the appropriate battery posts. |
| SA-030-26 | 2026-05-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. DESCRIPTION Some vehicles may experience one or more of the following DTCs with the Hybrid system warning light on. This may be caused by an issue with the sub battery located under the passenger floor. P143B Backup power supply system: Sub battery power supply low input. • U3008:01 BPS Backup power supply unit input/output circuit over-current/voltage malfunction. • U3003:17 BPS The output voltage sensor in the backup power supply unit detects that the voltage is standard or more. • U04C0:00 PCM Backup power supply unit internal malfunction. • REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Remove the sub battery according to the instructions on MGSS. CX-90 (LEAD ACID BATTERY (SUB) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION) • CX-70 (LEAD ACID BATTERY (SUB) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION) • 2. Test the battery's voltage using a digital voltmeter (DVOM) and record the result on the warranty claim. NOTE: The DCA 8000 does not accurately test this small battery. You DO NOT need the DCA 8000 test printout for a warranty claim. 3. Install a new sub battery. |

| SA-059-25 | 2026-01-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. Some vehicles may experience the CHECK ENGINE light ON with one of the following DTCs or a combination of these DTCs. P0451 • P2422 • P2451 • P0441 • This may be caused by a concern with the fuel pressure sensor or shutter valve operation. |
| SA-058-25 | 2026-01-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE; POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. The 7G large platform utilizes a new 8-speed automatic transmission. Due to changes in the parking lock mechanism, which is now hydraulically operated, the neutral range in the transmission can only be achieved if the engine is running (or “Ready-On” for PHEV). With this design, there is no provision to manually engage neutral. This can cause challenges to dealers, customers, or towing providers when a vehicle cannot start and can't move, usually due to a discharged (dead) battery. In the event that a vehicle cannot be started or achieve “ready-on”, wheel dollies must be used to allow the vehicle to be rolled and moved. NOTE: The following procedure is for moving vehicle around the service shop and not for towing purposes. Please reference the owner's manual for towing instructions. |
