## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2025447](/recalls/tc/2025447.md), 2025-09-02: Fuel System. Issue: On certain vehicles, an incorrect fuel level may be displayed on the instrument cluster. As a result, the driver may be unaware of how much fuel is in the tank, and the vehicle could run out of fuel and stall. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Mazda advises that you should refuel before the fuel gauge reaches ¼ level until the recall repairs have been completed. Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the body control module software.
- [2024656](/recalls/tc/2024656.md), 2024-11-01: High Voltage. Issue: On certain vehicles, a problem with the inverter software could cause the vehicle to enter a fail\-safe mode. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the inverter software.
- [2024659](/recalls/tc/2024659.md), 2024-10-31: Electrical. Issue: On certain vehicles, there could be a software problem with the dash electrical supply unit. As a result, the windshield defroster, the seat belt reminder sound and tell\-tale, the 360\-degree view monitor and high\-voltage battery cooling system may not work properly. Safety Risk: A windshield defroster and/or a 360\-degree view monitor that doesn't work could cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash. A seat belt warning that doesn't work correctly may not remind you and/or passengers to buckle your seat belt. Not wearing your seat belt can increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the dash electrical supply unit software.
- [2024658](/recalls/tc/2024658.md), 2024-10-31: High Voltage. Issue: On certain vehicles, software problems with the powertrain control module \(PCM\) and battery energy control module \(BECM\) could cause the engine not to restart after a start\-stop \(i\-stop\) event. Safety Risk: A vehicle that doesn't restart after a start\-stop event could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the PCM and BECM software.
- [2024657](/recalls/tc/2024657.md), 2024-10-31: Engine. Issue: On certain vehicles, software problems with the powertrain control module \(PCM\) and engine control module \(ECM\) could cause the vehicle to enter a fail\-safe mode. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the PCM and ECM software.
- [2024281](/recalls/tc/2024281.md), 2024-05-16: Brakes. Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the Automatic Emergency Braking system \(AEB\) to falsely detect an obstacle and activate when it is not needed. If this happens, the system will stop or slow the vehicle down suddenly. Safety Risk: If the AEB system activates with braking when no potential collision is present, it could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle control module software.
- [2024018](/recalls/tc/2024018.md), 2024-01-18: Steering. Issue: On certain vehicles, there may be a problem with the steering gear. As a result, there could be a sudden change in steering feel and an increase in steering effort. Safety Risk: A sudden change in steering effort could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the spring engaging the worm gear in the steering gear assembly and reapply grease to the gear teeth.
- [2023580](/recalls/tc/2023580.md), 2023-10-26: Powertrain. Issue: On certain plug\-in hybrid \(PHEV\) models, a software problem could cause the vehicle to enter a fail\-safe mode without warning and cause a loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the software for the powertrain and engine control modules.
- [2023579](/recalls/tc/2023579.md), 2023-10-26: Visual System. Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image to flicker or not to appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a dynamic guideline rearview monitor and/or the 360\-degree monitor. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the view monitor control module software.
- [2023436](/recalls/tc/2023436.md), 2023-08-04: Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain vehicles, the vehicle may make a reverse warning sound when the gear selector is in a position other than reverse. As a result, the vehicles don't meet the requirements of the Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: Audible warnings that don't work correctly could create confusion and increase the risk of injury for pedestrians and cyclists. Corrective Actions: Mazda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to reprogram the software for the Approaching Vehicle Audible System \(AVAS\) Information Sound Box \(ISB\) amplifier. To minimize the safety risk, Mazda recommends that you should move the shift lever slowly when shifting from 'P' to 'N' or from 'P' to 'D' and pause for at least one second at the 'R' position until the recall repairs are completed.
