| 2026079 | 2026-02-20. Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem with the integrated trailer module (ITRM) may cause the trailer lights not to work when towing. This problem could also cause the trailer brakes not to work on certain vehicles. Note: This problem would cause a "Trailer brake module fault" message to be displayed and turn signal telltale to flash rapidly. This recall also affects certain Super Duty incomplete vehicles. Safety Risk: Trailer lights that don't work could make the vehicle less visible and cause following drivers not to recognize that the vehicle is braking or intends to turn or change lanes. These issues could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a loss of trailer brakes could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the ITRM software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Ford dealership. |

| 2025254 | 2025-05-09. Lights And Instruments. Issue: On one vehicle, the trailer brake controller may not have been wired correctly. As a result, the brake lights could turn on briefly without pressing the brake pedal. Note: This recall only affects one vehicle equipped with an aftermarket trailer brake controller. Safety Risk: Brake lights that turn on without the brake pedal being pressed could cause others not to recognize when the vehicle is braking or not braking and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify the owner by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to repair the wiring and remove the aftermarket trailer brake controller circuit wire from the power distribution box inline controller. |

Note: If this happens, you may see a pop-up warning message in the instrument cluster: "Advanced front lighting features temporarily unavailable. See manual." Safety Risk: Driving without daytime running lamps and/or side marker lamps could make the vehicle less visible and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the headlamp control module software. |
