- [16V247000](/recalls/nhtsa/16V247000.md), 2016-04-26: AIR BAGS:FRONTAL. Ford Motor Company \(Ford\) is recalling certain model year 2009\-2012 Ford Flex, 2008 and 2010\-2012 Ford Taurus, 2008\-2009 Ford Taurus X, 2008 Mercury Sable, 2009 and 2011 Lincoln MKS vehicles. The driver frontal air bag may improperly inflate during second\-stage deployment in the event of a high speed crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard \(FMVSS\) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection." Built 2008\-06\-02 to 2009\-04\-22.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2019281](/recalls/tc/2019281.md), 2019-06-11: Suspension. Issue: On certain vehicles, a buildup of dirt and mud could cause the rear suspension toe links to break. This could result in a sudden loss of vehicle stability. Note: This problem affects vehicles operated in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The unique soil properties in this region could make a toe link more likely to break. Safety Risk: A loss of stability could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to install improved rear suspension toe links.
- [2016186](/recalls/tc/2016186.md), 2016-04-26: Airbag. Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard \(CMVSS\) 208 \- Occupant Protection in Frontal Impacts. Due to an assembly error involving the driver’s frontal airbag, the second stage of the airbag may to fail to deploy. As a result, the vehicle may fail to meet the occupant protection requirements of the standard. This could increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant in a crash where second\-stage airbag deployment is warranted. Correction: Dealers will inspect the driver airbag module and, if necessary, replace it. Note: The primary stage of the driver's airbag deployment is not affected.
