Service bulletins for the 2024 Lexus RZ

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

L-SB-0016-23 Rev2024-01-16. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. TSB: A battery in a stored vehicle is subject to conditions that can reduce its performance and service life. These conditions include storage period, temperature, parasitic drain, and battery load. Because of these factors, battery inspection and maintenance are required in order to ensure proper operation and optimal battery life. As a matter of policy, Lexus does not provide battery warranty coverage for discharged and/or failed batteries due to lack of maintenance. It is the dealer?s responsibility to maintain the specified State-Of-Charge (SOC) of the vehicle?s battery while in stock and ensure proper SOC at delivery. To eliminate customer service concerns due to an undercharged battery during the first few weeks of ownership, ALL dealers should test the auxiliary (12V) battery and recharge, if necessary, no more than 48 hours before delivery to the customer.
LSB0062232023-12-26. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:HYBRID MANAGEMENT; POWER TRAIN. TSB: Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) store electricity received via an external power source in the BEV traction battery. When the BEV is not used for a period of 30 days or more, the traction battery self-discharges, thus reducing vehicle travel range. To prevent the BEV traction battery from fully discharging it is necessary to maintain the charge level of the BEV traction battery.
L-SB-0023-232023-04-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. TSB: This bulletin provides general high-voltage safety precautions for the HV/BEV system. These high voltages are dangerous and can cause personal injury, severe burns, electric shock, and death if proper safety precautions are NOT followed. Be sure to carefully review ALL applicable Repair Manual procedures BEFORE performing service.
