LTB01260NAS12019-03-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. A flashing DRIVE (D) on the Transmission Control Switch (TCS) after a period of coasting (traveling downhill, etc.) and the transmission may default to a pre-selected gear. When this occurs, the ignition may need to be cycled OFF and ON or PARK (P) may need to be selected before being able to select the DRIVE (D) position again. A MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) will also be displayed on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) and DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) P0716-64 may also be stored in the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

During interrogation DTC?s P054A-00, P0014-71, P000B-00 and/or P0341- 00, P054A-00, P0303-00 and P0302-00 will be stored within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

SSM741402018-12-17. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE. A customer may report oil leaking from the front of the vehicle, the issue may also be detected during routine servicing or inspections. Upon further investigation oil is found to be leaking from the interface of the PTU and the automatic transmission.

Discovery Sport (LC) 2015MY Onwards & Range Rover Evoque (LV) 2014MY Onwards fitted with 9HP48 9-Speed Automatic Transmission: Retailers reporting these vehicles are flagging the following (TCM) Transmission control module DTC?s P2545-86 and/or P2546-86 codes during SDD DTC read or on customer concern. Should there be any other transmission related fault codes stored in the TCM these other codes should be investigated and resolved before proceeding with this instruction.

An issue has been identified on certain vehicles within the listed Affected Vehicle Range where the 'Service Required' message will not appear on the Instrument Cluster (IC) if a vehicle has reached its service point and the engine is started normally by pressing the engine START/STOP button with the brake pedal pressed. Turning on the ignition only, by pressing the engine START/STOP button without the brake pedal pressed, will still allow the 'Service Required' warning message to be displayed. In addition, the latest Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software has introduced a concern relating to the ability to reset the service message indicator. The latest IC software will rectify these concerns.

SSM725842017-04-11. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM; ENGINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). ISSUE: CUSTOMER HAS OBSERVED 'CHECK ENGINE LIGHT' - ALSO KNOWN AS 'ENGINE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL)' - ILLUMINATED IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER & DTC P2096-00 AND/OR P2097-00 IS EVIDENT IN THE PCM. A CONCERN IN THE PCM DIAGNOSTIC SOFTWARE HAS BEEN DISCOVERED, WHICH WHEN COMBINED WITH A SPECIFIC CUSTOMER DRIVE CYCLE CAN LEAD TO THE FALSE FLAGGING OF THIS DTC. EXHAUST SYSTEM LEAKS OUTSIDE DESIGN SPECIFICATION CAN INCREASE THE LIKELIHOOD OF REPEAT FAILURES. (JLR HAVE RECOGNISED THAT THE SUPPLIED LEAK CHECK EQUIPMENT DOES NOT FIT ON CERTAIN LC - DISCOVERY SPORT EXHAUST TAIL PIPES. A SOLUTION IS BEING SOURCED).
