- [08V248000](/recalls/nhtsa/08V248000.md), 2008-06-04: STEERING:COLUMN. LAND ROVER IS RECALLING 37,142 MY 2005\-2006 LR3 AND RANGE ROVER SPORT VEHICLES.  RELATIVE MOTION BETWEEN THE STEERING WHEEL HUB AND/OR THE STEERING COLUMN COWL WITH THE CLOCKSPRING, WHICH INCLUDES THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG CIRCUITRY, COULD RESULT IN FRACTURING OF THE AIR BAG WIRING CONNECTION.  IF AN AIR BAG WIRE FRACTURES, THE SRS WARNING LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.  THE SRS WARNING LIGHT INDICATES TO THE DRIVER THAT THERE IS A CONCERN WITH THE SRS SYSTEM IN THE VEHICLE AND THAT IMMEDIATE REPAIR IS NECESSARY. Built 2004\-11\-01 to 2005\-12\-23.

SOME SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES MAY HAVE FUEL TANKS THAT CONTAIN AN INTERNAL BREATHER PIPE THAT WAS NOT MADE TO SPECIFICATION.  THIS COULD RESULT IN EXCESSIVE SWELLING AND CRACKING OF A GROMMET AND SUBSEQUENT DETACHMENT OF THE BREATHER PIPE FROM A CONNECTOR TUBE.  WHEN THE FUEL LEVEL IN THE TANK IS ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE DETACHED JOINT, FUEL MAY THEN ENTER THE BREATHER PIPE AND EXCESS FUEL MAY BE DISCHARGED ONTO THE GROUND. Built 2004\-07\-01 to 2005\-09\-28.

- [2008193](/recalls/tc/2008193.md), 2008-06-04: Airbag. On certain vehicles, the wiring that connects the steering column rotary coupler \(clockspring\) to the driver's airbag module may fracture as a result of relative motion between the clockspring and the steering wheel hub.  This may result in the deployment of only one stage of the dual stage airbag during a vehicle crash of sufficient severity, or cause the airbag to not deploy at all.  Should the airbag module fail to deploy in the intended manner, it could increase the driver's risk of injury or death.  Correction: Dealers will insert alignment spacers into specific areas of the steering column.
- [2005336](/recalls/tc/2005336.md), 2005-10-31: Powertrain. Certain vehicles may have an incorrectly manufactured guide plate which could hinder the function of the transmission parking pawl.  Consequently, PARK may not engage when the lever in the vehicle is moved to PARK and all indicators show PARK position is achieved.  If the vehicle was parked on an incline of sufficient grade, and the parking brake was not engaged, the vehicle could roll away.  Correction: Dealers will replace the parking pawl guide plate.
- [2005335](/recalls/tc/2005335.md), 2005-10-31: Seats And Restraints. Certain vehicles may have been manufactured with a seat belt mounting buckle whose tensile strength is below the required standard.  In the event of a crash, where the left hand second row seat belt is being used, the buckle may not be fully retained.  Correction: Land Rover has corrected all affected vehicles prior to distribution to dealers.
