# Service bulletins for the 2026 KTM 990 RC R

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

2 bulletins from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

- [KTB2611](/bulletins/11036842.md), 2026-09-03, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. In the course of continuous product improvement and further development, the control of the start relay has been improved in order to avoid isolated relay errors. The adapter cable and the additional relay must be reinstalled on the affected vehicles.
- [KTB2602](/bulletins/11031351.md), 2026-04-15, Service bulletin: WHEELS. To fully exploit the potential of a Supersport motorcycle, appropriate performance tires are required. In our opinion, the Michelin Power Cup 2 best meets this requirement. The disadvantage of these tires is, that there is a low\-temperature threshold at which rubber loses elasticity and becomes brittle, called the glass transition point. Rubber breakdown in the cold can manifest as a tiny crack or many larger cracks around the tire. To avoid damage, the Michelin Power Cup 2 must not be handled below 41°F \( 5°C \) in transport and storage.
