Certain 2022 MY Telluride vehicles manufactured from November 29, 2021 through September 1, 2022. Certain 2022-2023 MY K5 vehicles manufactured from December 7, 2021 through September 12, 2022. The Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU) controls the vehicle's Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), Electronic Stability Control System (ESC), and Auto-Hold features, among other related functions. The HECU in these vehicles may have been produced by the supplier with a condition that can result in an internal brake fluid leak. If an internal brake fluid leak occurs, the vehicle's EPB light, ABS light, ESC light, Auto-Hold light, and/or Forward Collision Avoidance Assist light may illuminate, or a Smart Cruise Control (SCC) warning message may appear on the instrument cluster. If this occurs, EPB, ESC, and Auto Hold functions may be disabled.

If foreign material, snow/ice, or roadway debris blocks the front radar located in the front bumper area, misalignment may occur, causing improper obstacle detection by the FCA system without illumination of the FCA warning lamp. If this condition occurs, the vehicle may apply partial braking when passing other vehicles. This update is to adjust the FCA warning lamp strategy and set conditions to improve the detection of a front radar misalignment condition.

This Pitstop provides information regarding the Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) with Rear Door Logic system on all 21MY~ models equipped with this feature. This system is designed to help prevent a rear passenger from being left inside the vehicle when exiting. The "Check Rear Seats" message will display on the cluster when driver opens the front door, if during vehicle operation the rear doors (one or both) were opened and closed.

This pitstop provides the KDS service procedure for mileage setting on the models listed below with newly replaced instrument clusters. Certain models allow for mileage setting with the KDS, which prevents the need to send out the instrument cluster to a 3rd party for mileage adjustment (refer to PS264). After a new cluster is installed, cluster (variant) coding may also need to be conducted using the KDS. Make sure the KDS software is also updated to the latest version. Mileage setting should be performed by using the KDS only, as described in this bulletin.

If the software upgrade is not installed, units will exhibit a warning light ON with Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) related to the front view camera. Some vehicles require recovery and recording the prior variant coding value before replacement.
