Service bulletins for the 2025 Kia EV6
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| TSB_ELE408 | 2025-12-23. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: SERVICE ACTION: DCU REPLACEMENT (SA638) - This bulletin provides information to replace faulty Data Connectivity Units (DCUs) on certain 2026MY Sportage and 2025MY EV6 vehicles that may cause modem data to be missing on the Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) head unit, resulting in Kia Connect failing to activate. |
| PS797 | 2025-12-18. Other. BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS. PITSTOP: TECHNICAL OPERATIONS: EXTERNAL DAMAGE TO ULTRASONIC SENSOR: This Pitstop provides information related to Parking Distance Warning (PDW) alerts and repairs involving ultrasonic sensors. The PDW system alerts the driver while parking, by calculating distance based on the difference in signal transmission and reception times between the vehicle (ultrasonic sensor) and an object. The membrane film of the ultrasonic sensor is used for object detention and can be damaged by stone chips or foreign substances while driving. Damage to the cover of the ultrasonic sensor can also lead to damage to the internal circuit. As a result of this external damage, the PDW system may not receive the proper signal from the ultrasonic sensor. In some cases, the system may cause a false alarm, no alert, or phantom warnings by a “Warning Lamp’ to be displayed on the cluster. The ultrasonic sensor membrane film should be always inspected for external damage and if any part replacement should be treated as a general repair, not as a warranty claim repair for this concern. (Please note that this Pitstop only applies to models/trims that are equipped with the ultrasonic sensors.) |
| SC343_TSB_R1 | 2025-12-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN: PDC LOGIC IMPROVEMENT AND PRA REPLACEMENT FOR DTC PIB7700 (SC343) - This bulletin has been revised to include additional information. New/revised sections of this bulletin are indicated by a black bar in the margin area. This bulletin provides information to upgrade the Powernet Domain Control ‘PDC’ system software on certain 2025MY EV6 (CV1a) vehicles produced from December 10, 2024 through June 24, 2025, built at a Kia assembly plant in the US. Due to a PDC software logic error in the subject vehicle, the pre-charge resistor may become damaged if the vehicle is abnormally turned ‘OFF’ (e.g. turned ‘OFF’ while the gear selection is in ‘Neutral’). If the pre-charge resistor becomes damaged, the vehicle may not go into ‘READY’ mode. Customers may experience the illumination of the service warning light, and the vehicle may set DTC P1B7700. If DTC P1B7700 is stored, technicians are to replace the PRA before upgrading the ‘PDC’ software. |
| OTA_SC343 | 2025-10-16. Over-the-air update. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. RELEASE NOTES: OVER-THE-AIR: SERVICE CAMPAIGN: SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR PRE-CHARGE RESISTOR (SC343) - This Over-the-Air (OTA) software update is designed to update the Power-net Domain Controller (PDC) logic of certain 2025 EV6 vehicles. Updates the Power-net Controller (PDC) with improved software to prevent damage to the pre-charge resistor when the vehicle is abnormally turned OFF (e.g., turned off while the gear selector is in Neutral.) |
| OTA_SC343 | 2025-10-01. Over-the-air update. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. RELEASE NOTES: OVER-THE-AIR: VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN: SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR WARNING LIGHT (SC343) - This Over-the-Air (OTA) software update is designed to update the Power-net Domain Controller (PDC) logic of certain 2025 EV6 vehicles. | OTA_ELE396 | 2025-09-23. Over-the-air update. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. RELEASE NOTES: OVER-THE-AIR: SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR PLUG AND CHARGE ENHANCEMENT - This Over-the-Air (OTA) software update is designed to update the Vehicle Charging Management System (VCMS) and Central Communication Unit (CCU) logic of certain 2025 EV6 vehicles. This update is designed to enable your vehicle to be Plug & Charge ready. Plug & Charge allows you to charge at compatible public charging stations without opening a mobile application or pulling out a credit card. |
| TSB_ELE396 | 2025-09-23. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: PLUG AND CHARGE LOGIC IMPROVEMENT - This bulletin provides information to upgrade the Central Communication Unit ‘CCU’ and Power Transfer Communication Module ‘PCM’ system software on certain 2025MY EV6 (CVa) vehicles produced from January 7, 2025 through August 20, 2025, and 2026MY EV9 (MVa) vehicles produced from January 2, 2025 through September 3, 2025 built at a Kia assembly plant in the US, that have either failed the Over-The-Air (OTA) software upgrade or in cases where Kia Connect is not available to the customer. This update provides certain EV6 (CVa) and EV9 (MVa) with the Plug and Charge (PnC) feature that simplifies the process of charging electric vehicles (EVs) by automating authentication and payment.
