Service bulletins for the 2024 Kia EV6

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

46 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

PS7972025-12-18. Other. BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS. PITSTOP: TECHNICAL OPERATIONS: EXTERNAL DAMAGE TO ULTRASONIC SENSOR: This Pitstop provides information related to Parking Distance Warning (PDW) alerts and repairs involving ultrasonic sensors. The PDW system alerts the driver while parking, by calculating distance based on the difference in signal transmission and reception times between the vehicle (ultrasonic sensor) and an object. The membrane film of the ultrasonic sensor is used for object detention and can be damaged by stone chips or foreign substances while driving. Damage to the cover of the ultrasonic sensor can also lead to damage to the internal circuit. As a result of this external damage, the PDW system may not receive the proper signal from the ultrasonic sensor. In some cases, the system may cause a false alarm, no alert, or phantom warnings by a “Warning Lamp’ to be displayed on the cluster. The ultrasonic sensor membrane film should be always inspected for external damage and if any part replacement should be treated as a general repair, not as a warranty claim repair for this concern. (Please note that this Pitstop only applies to models/trims that are equipped with the ultrasonic sensors.)

In rare cases, the front motor reduction gear assembly may exhibit noise after having the oil replaced.
SC345_TSB2025-09-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN FRONT MOTOR REDUCTION GEAR OIL REPLACEMENT (SC345) - This bulletin provides information to replace the front motor reduction gear assembly gear oil on certain 2023-2024MY Niro EV (SG2 EV) vehicles produced from December 12, 2022 through February 7, 2024 and EV6 (CV) vehicles produced from December 14, 2022 through February 22, 2024. During the production of the subject vehicles, the amount of gear oil in the front motor and reduction gear assembly may have been filled below factory specification. If the gear oil level is lower than Kia’s factory specifications, the subject vehicles may eventually produce a grinding noise or whining noise from the front of the vehicle while driving.
PS7912025-09-02. Other. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. PITSTOP: TECHNICAL OPERATIONS: DCU IDENTIFICATION AND DAIGNOSTIC AID - This Pitstop provides information on identifying the Data Connectivity Unit (DCU) in Kia vehicles equipped with Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) and ccNC Lite head units, as well as a diagnostic aid when diagnosing Kia Connect concerns. When diagnosing non-operational Kia Connect concerns, under no circumstance should the DCU be swapped with a known good DCU from another vehicle. Doing so may result in inoperative Kia Connect services on either vehicle and may require the replacement of the known good DCU. If a DCU needs to be replaced, the recommendation is to always order a replacement unit (with the correct P/N) to ensure proper Kia Connect services operations using the newly installed/replaced DCU.
