## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2024744](/recalls/tc/2024744.md), 2024-12-09: Brakes. Issue: On certain trucks, poor signal strength could cause the electronic control unit \(ECU\) to stop working or not to work properly. As a result, some safety systems may not work, including the antilock braking system, automatic traction control, electronic stability control, active cruise control and the collision mitigation system. Safety Risks: Vehicle safety systems that don't work correctly could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to reprogram the ECU software.
- [2024161](/recalls/tc/2024161.md), 2024-03-08: Powertrain. Issue: On certain trucks, the wiring in the right\-hand shift stalk may not be properly connected. As a result, you may not be able to shift the transmission back into gear after coming to a stop. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the right\-hand shift stalk assembly.
- [2022185](/recalls/tc/2022185.md), 2022-04-14: Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain trucks, the daytime running lamps \(DRLs\) may not turn on when the vehicle starts moving. Canadian regulations require that DRLs must be on while driving, unless the headlamps or fog lamps are switched on. Note: This recall only affects trucks that were repaired under recall 21KWD \(Transport Canada recall 2021\-287\). Safety Risk: Driving without daytime running lights could make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealership to update the vehicle software.
- [2021713](/recalls/tc/2021713.md), 2021-11-19: Brakes. Issue: On certain trucks, the work brake \(also known as a winch brake\) may suddenly release while using the winch. If this happens, the truck could move suddenly. Safety Risk: Sudden and unexpected movement of the truck could create a risk of injury or a crash. Corrective Action: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to update the vehicle software.
- [2021287](/recalls/tc/2021287.md), 2021-05-14: Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain trucks, the driver may be able to turn off the daytime running lamps \(DRLs\) while driving. Canadian regulations require that DRLs must stay on while driving, unless the headlamps or fog lamps are switched on. Safety Risk: Driving without daytime running lights could make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to update the vehicle software.
- [2021069](/recalls/tc/2021069.md), 2021-02-17: Powertrain. Issue: On certain vehicles, the cap screws that attach the flywheel to the crankshaft may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the flywheel could detach. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels and parts could be ejected from the engine compartment. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Parts that are ejected from the engine compartment could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a Cummins authorized service center to tighten the flywheel cap screws. Cummins will repair damaged components, as necessary.
- [2020399](/recalls/tc/2020399.md), 2020-08-27: Suspension. Issue: On certain trucks, the lift axle pivot bolts may be too short and may not be properly tightened. As a result, the bolts could come loose or break. If this happens, parts could fall from the truck. Note: This recall only affects trucks built with Watson Chalin SL2065 lift axles. Safety Risk: Large fasteners that fall on the road could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect and replace the lift axle pivot bolts, as necessary.
