- [20V199000](/recalls/nhtsa/20V199000.md), 2020-04-06: SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK:ABS WARNING LIGHT; ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL \(ESC\). PACCAR Incorporated \(PACCAR\) is recalling certain 2008\-2019 Peterbilt 330, 335, 337, 340, 348, 365, 367, 384, 386, 387, 388, 389, 567, 579 and 587 vehicles and 2008\-2020 Kenworth T170, T270, T370, T660, T680, T800, T880, and W900 vehicles equipped with NAMUX Software. In the event that the Anti\-lock Brake System \(ABS\) loses battery and/or ignition power to the controller, the dash warning light for the ABS may not illuminate to warn the driver of the loss of ABS. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard \(FMVSS\) number 121, "Air Brake Systems," and 136, "Electronic Stability Control System on Heavy Vehicles."
- [15V458000](/recalls/nhtsa/15V458000.md), 2015-07-22: EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HAZARD FLASHING WARNING LIGHTS; EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS. PACCAR Incorporated \(PACCAR\) is recalling certain model year 2011\-2016 Kenworth T440, T470, T660, T680, and T880 trucks manufactured January 14, 2010, to May 22, 2015, and equipped with HID Headlamps and the option for Daytime Running Lamps \(DRL\). The DRLs are required to deactivate when the hazard warning lights are activated, however, the DRLs on these vehicles override the hazard flashing functionality after the brake pedal is pushed for more than two seconds. Normal hazard flashing functionality returns once the service brake is released. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard \(FMVSS\) No. 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Built 2010\-01\-14 to 2015\-05\-22.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2020148](/recalls/tc/2020148.md), 2020-04-07: Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain trucks, the warning light for the tractor anti\-lock brake system \(ABS\) may not turn on if the system loses power. If this happens, the driver will not get warning that the ABS is not working properly. Note: This problem would also cause the traction control \(TC\) and electronic stability control \(ESC\) lights not to turn on. Safety Risk: If a driver is not warned that the ABS is not working properly, there could be an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to update the software for the cab control module \(CECU\).
- [2015316](/recalls/tc/2015316.md), 2015-07-20: Lights And Instruments. Certain vehicles equipped with HID headlamps may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 \- Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. A Daytime Running Lamp \(DRL\) that is optically combined with a turn signal lamp must switch off when the turn signal lamp is switched on as a hazard warning signal. In the affected vehicles, the DRL overrides the hazard flashing functionality after the service brake is applied for more than 2 seconds, which is contrary to the standard. The hazard functionality returns to normal when the application of the service brake is removed. Turn signal functionality would not impacted. Failure to warn oncoming vehicles with flashing hazard lamps could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update vehicle software.
- [2015190](/recalls/tc/2015190.md), 2015-05-08: Electrical. On certain vehicles, water could migrate into wiper motor head and could lead to internal corrosion. This internal corrosion could form a conductive salt bridge which could result in a short circuit, causing the wiper system to fail. Loss of windshield wiping capability, should it occur during a rainy/snowy day, may compromise the driver's ability to see the road and its users, and a short circuit could increase the risk of fire, which could result in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a shield over the wiper motor to protect it from water intrusions and prevent corrosion.
