UGQ, UGV, UJV and UJQ Radio Enhancements This bulletin involves inspecting the software level to see if the radio needs oneor two USB flash drive(s) to update the radio software level to 39.2. Customers may experience one or more of the following: Voice recognition (VR) fails while road names are written in Catalan. After the update to software level MR-28.31, the Amperometer inside Jeepskills shows values too high. The radio may lose some or all programmed presets. Volume blocked/uncontrollable. Heating Steering wheel and seat SK greyed out. Eco Drive trips saved issue. Radio may reset, turn itself off and then back on again. Radio display screen lock up. Park assist chime will continue to chime after the vehicle is turned off. Frequent pop-ups during startup saying device not connected - Uconnect LIVE. Radio will display the incorrect speed limit in kph when approaching a roadspeed camera(2018 WK Only). Uconnect Live Apps restricted to only MyCar, ecoDrive and Jeep Skills(2018 WK Only). Russian language missing in the radio setting menu(2018 WK with UGQ Only). If the radio is set for Russian language, UConnect displays unknown symbolson the ?Off Road Page?(2018 WK with UGQ Only). Could not disable the feature for the heated seat and heated steering wheelturned on automatically at startup(2018 WK with UGQ Only). Customers may experience one or more of the following:Radio display screen flickers. Clock loses 6 seconds per day (JL with 5 inch screen). Green horizontal lines on back up display, in reverse (If this is the customer concern use camera LOP 18-60-02-W2, on DT and JL vehicles only). Ghost Touch, features, modes and App?s changing without drivers input. Speaker pop noise when using Bluetooth device. When vehicle is first start the radio will reset and the time display shows 12:00. Audio distortion and volume fluctuation. Blank rear camera image in reverse (If this is the customer concern use camera LOP 18-60-02-W2, on DT and JL vehicles only). Audio distortion (KL vehicles). Audio cutting in and out during memory recall. Ring tone too loud. AM/FM volume fluctuates. While in CarPlay® or Android Auto Google® maps showing wrong location. Phone disconnected after first call. Black screen or White screen with vertical lines. Personal Identification Number (PIN) clears and volume locked while KeySense is used. Audio static while in SXM/SAT modes. Echo heard during Bluetooth phone calls. The radio is locked up. The radio remains on after ignition has been turned off. The radio resets. The radio screen turns black. Intermittently requires an anti-theft code to be entered. Software update also includes software enhancement.SXM sound and behavior improvements.
