TPM Sensor 2016 WK/WD vehicles only - Engineering is investigating a Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) issue for TPM lamp ON and Active diagnostic trouble codes C1501-31, C1502-31, C1503-31, C1504-31. 2015 & 2016 TPM Sensors ARE NOT interchangeable.~ As part of normal diagnostics tool # 9936 TPM-RKE Analyzer can be used to wirelessly retrieve TPM sensor data and aid you in diagnosing. The tool filters data by year and body style. Be sure to update the tool to Software Version 16.01 and check for updates periodically. Vehicles and new TPM info is added several times a year. Updates are available through TechCONNECT home page; Service Tools & Equipment; Tire Pressure Monitor Tool; Software Downloads. Prior to replacing any components on MY16 WK/WD vehicles, please contact Raja Charabuddi on cell (248) 202-7313 or Brian Malski on cell (248) 892-1514. A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following DTCs set in the PCM memory: U1424 - Implausible Engine Torque Signal Received (2017 MY 3.0L and 3.6L Only). P2681 - Engine Coolant Bypass Valve Control Circuit Open (3.6L Only). P0335 - Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit. P2299-00 - Brake Pedal Position/Accelerator Pedal Position Incompatible. B23C3 - Stop/Start Disable Switch 1/2 Correlation (3.0L and 3.6L Only). In addition, customers may experience the following conditions: A shorter auxiliary battery life. PCM - Switch Correlation Fault Code B23C3~ We need the vehicle to remain undisturbed so that the team can perform progressive disassembly and determine if there is an impact of the ICS to I/P mounting on this issue.~ Issue 2:~ On a 2016MY WK (Grand Cherokee) and WD (Durango), the Integrated Center Stack (ICS) may experience a lock-up condition (complete loss of functionality) during any vehicle diagnostic session (reading fault codes, clearing fault codes, reflashing of any module, etc.). If this occurs, do not replace the ICS. The module functionality can be restored if it is reset by disconnecting power to it (by removing fuse, battery disconnect or module connector disconnect).~

This tool locks the crankshaft at 30? ATDC. Refer to: Valve Timing ? Standard Procedure ? LOCKING ENGINE 30 DEGREE AFTER TDC IN TechCONNECT for further details. This tool must be removed after the the injection pump has been installed on the engine. The tool will be replaced with the engine block plug from the engine being removed. The engine will not turn over with this tool installed.~
