# Recalls that may apply to the 2015 Jaguar XJ

- [15V037000](/recalls/nhtsa/15V037000.md), 2015-01-27: AIR BAGS. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC \(Jaguar\) is recalling certain model year 2015 Jaguar XJ vehicles manufactured July 2, 2014, to December 4, 2014.  The affected vehicles may have an incorrect description of the operation of Occupant Sensor System \(OSS\) in the owner's manual.  Since the manual does not correspond with the actual Air Bag Status Indicator Lamp, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard \(FMVSS\) No. 208, "Occupant Crash Protection." Built 2014\-07\-02 to 2014\-12\-04.
- [14V741000](/recalls/nhtsa/14V741000.md), 2014-11-19: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS. Jaguar Land Rover North America \(Jaguar\) is recalling certain model year 2014\-2015 Jaguar XJ vehicles manufactured February 6, 2014, to July 23, 2014.  In the affected vehicles, the brake line junctions under the vehicle may leak brake fluid. Built 2014\-02\-06 to 2014\-07\-23.
- [14V673000](/recalls/nhtsa/14V673000.md), 2014-10-27: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:ALTERNATOR/GENERATOR/REGULATOR; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:BELTS AND ASSOCIATED PULLEYS. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC \(Jaguar\) is recalling certain 2015 F\-TYPE vehicles manufactured August 25, 2014, to September 12, 2014, 2015 XF vehicles manufactured September 3, 2014, to September 12, 2014, and 2015 XJ vehicles manufactured August 21, 2014, to September 11, 2014.  In the affected vehicles, the Front End Accessory Drive \(FEAD\) belt, Power Assisted Steering \(PAS\) pump pulley and/or battery positive cable at the alternator may detach. Built 2014\-08\-21 to 2014\-09\-11.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2015027](/recalls/tc/2015027.md), 2015-01-26: Airbag. Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard \(CMVSS\) 208 \- Occupant Protection.  The functionality of the Airbag Status Indicator Lamp may have been incorrectly described in the owner’s manual. This will not affect the operation of the Occupant Sensor System but an occupant that does not correctly understand the airbag functionality may be at an increased risk of injury in a crash. Correction: Owners will receive a handbook supplement containing the proper information on the airbag system to add to the owners manual.
- [2014534](/recalls/tc/2014534.md), 2014-11-26: Brakes. On certain vehicles, underbody brake pipe unions may not have been tightened to specification. This could cause a loss of brake fluid, illuminating the brake warning lamp and causing the instrument cluster to display the warning message "Fluid Level Low". If operated in this condition, brake system function could be affected, potentially increasing stopping distances or causing a loss of brake system function. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Loss of brake fluid could also affect brake pressure switch function, which could cause the vehicle to fail to start. Correction:  Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, top up the brake fluid and tighten the joints to the correct torque specification.
- [2014486](/recalls/tc/2014486.md), 2014-10-30: Engine. On certain vehicles, fasteners securing components of the engine accessory belt drive system may not have been tightened to specification, and could  become loose. This could cause a loss of power steering and/or electrical charging system function, and could allow the alternator's positive cable to arc against other components, potentially resulting in a fire. These issues could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect fasteners to and tighten to specification as necessary.
