- [04V307000](/recalls/nhtsa/04V307000.md), 2004-06-30: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:FRONT UNDERHOOD. ON CERTAIN HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS, THE ENGINE ELECTRICAL HARNESS CAN CHAFE AGAINST SHARP EDGES ON THE ENGINE. Built 2002\-06\-02 to 2004\-01\-13.
- [04V100000](/recalls/nhtsa/04V100000.md), 2004-02-27: EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER. ON CERTAIN CONVENTIONAL TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH PRO\-SLEEPER BERTHS, WATER INTRUSION CAN BE FOUND IN THE BUNK CONTROL PANEL AREA AND POOL IN THE TOPS OF THE DOME LIGHT, TV/VCR, AND OR REFRIGERATOR POWER SWITCHES. Built 1994\-04\-01 to 2002\-06\-16.
- [03V072000](/recalls/nhtsa/03V072000.md), 2003-03-06: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:ALTERNATOR/GENERATOR/REGULATOR. ON CERTAIN HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS BUILT WITH A DETROIT ENGINE AND A LEECE NEVILLE ALTERNATOR. THE ELECTRICAL TERMINAL AT THE ALTERNATOR END OF THE CABLE THAT RUNS FROM THE STARTER TO THE BATTERY STUD ON THE ALTERNATOR MAY BREAK OFF, DUE TO VIBRATION IN THE CABLE. Built 2001\-06\-08 to 2002\-11\-04.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2007016](/recalls/tc/2007016.md), 2007-01-22: Electrical. On certain trucks, the positive battery cables, that supply power from the batteries to the starter, may rub against an electrical ground cable between the engine and the starter, and electrical ground cable between the frame rail and the starter, or the frame rail itself. This rubbing may cause an electrical short and/or fire, which can result in property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Dealers will re\-route the battery cables using new bracketry.
- [2004209](/recalls/tc/2004209.md), 2004-06-24: Electrical. On certain vehicles, the engine electrical harness can chafe against sharp edges on the engine. There are a number of different failures that could occur as many functions of the vehicle are processed through this harness. The modes of failure that could occur without warning, that may affect highway safety are: sudden acceleration, activation of engine compression brake, alternator overload and possible fire, engine speed dropping to idle, and loss of engine Electronic Control Module \(ECM\) power resulting in engine shutdown. Correction: Dealers will inspect, repair and relocate the engine harness.
- [2004074](/recalls/tc/2004074.md), 2004-02-26: Electrical. On certain vehicles, water intrusion into the sleeper berth's bunk control panel area may pool in the tops of the dome light, TV/VCR, and/or refrigerator power switches. The LED circuit boards in these switches may begin to heat up and possibly produce a flame or fire, without warning, that could cause property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Dealer will install a water shield over the back of the entire bunk control panel.
- [2004049](/recalls/tc/2004049.md), 2004-02-05: Other. On certain vehicles, a defect in the front wheel hub bearings will result in premature spalling which will lead to eventual breakdown of the bearing. An early breakdown of the wheel hub bearing system, when undetected, can possibly cause a wheel fire, wheel separation, loss of vehicle control, or vehicle fire. Correction: Dealer will inspect the front axle hubs, and replace if necessary. This is an expansion of Recall 03\-134.
- [2003174](/recalls/tc/2003174.md), 2003-07-25: Steering. On certain vehicles, the drag link will interfere with the left front brake chamber and slack adjuster. This interference may cause damage to the slack adjuster and render it inoperable. An inoperable slack adjuster will cause the front brakes to wear unevenly and may eventually cause a vehicle crash without warning, which could result in property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Dealer will replace the pitman arm, drag link and steering arm.
- [2003134](/recalls/tc/2003134.md), 2003-05-20: Other. Correction: Dealer will replace front axle hubs.
- [2003052](/recalls/tc/2003052.md), 2003-02-28: Electrical. On certain vehicles, the cable from the starter to the battery stud on the alternator may break off at the alternator end, due to vibration in the cable, if the wire harness is not routed and clipped correctly. If the terminal breaks off, the cab will lose all power, resulting in complete electrical failure and engine shutdown, which may result in an accident and potentially cause property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Dealer will reroute and rewire the wiring harness to the alternator.
