- [03V071000](/recalls/nhtsa/03V071000.md), 2003-03-06: VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER:SWITCH/WIRING. CERTAIN HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 104,  "WINDSHIELD WIPING AND WASHING SYSTEMS."  THE WINDSHIELD WASHER WIPER SWITCH MAY NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING WITH ALL ACCESSORIES OFF, INCLUDING THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS, AND THE WASH FUNCTION IS ACTIVATED.  WASHER FLUID MAY SQUIRT BRIEFLY OR NOT AT ALL ONTO THE WINDSHIELD. Built 2003\-01\-06 to 2003\-01\-15.

ON CERTAIN HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH BENDIX TC\-7 TRAILER CONTROL HAND\-OPERATED VALVE WITH PUSH\-TO\-CONNECT FITTINGS.  THE DELIVERY PORT IN THE VALVE BODY MAY BE PARTIALLY BLOCKED DUE TO A PROBLEM DURING THE MODING PROCESS. Built 2002\-04\-24 to 2002\-06\-21.

- [2003113](/recalls/tc/2003113.md), 2003-04-24: Engine. On certain vehicles, a single band type exhaust clamp was installed on the tail pipes instead of a double band type clamp.  The single band clamp can lose its clamping ability while under normal driving conditions causing the tail pipe to loosen and potentially fall off.  The pipe could come off without warning and get into the path of other vehicles on the highway possibly resulting in property damage, personal injury, or death.  Correction:  Dealer will replace all single band clamps with double band clamps.
- [2003051](/recalls/tc/2003051.md), 2003-02-28: Other. On certain vehicles, when the engine is running and the windshield wipers are off and the wash function is activated, fluid squirts onto the windshield and the wipers start but almost immediately stop without wiping the windshield clean.  Correction:  Dealer will replace the windshield washer wiper switch.
- [2002182](/recalls/tc/2002182.md), 2002-10-09: Brakes. On certain vehicles, the hand operated trailer brake control may have a partially blocked delivery port, which can cause the trailer brakes to be slow to apply an release when operated by the hand control valve.   If this hand control valve is used while the vehicle is in motion, the slow brake application or release may contribute to loss of control of the vehicle causing  a collision, possibly resulting in property damage, personal injury or death.  Correction:  The dealer will replace the defective valves.
