## United States (NHTSA), as of 2026-10-19

- [04V009000](/recalls/nhtsa/04V009000.md), 2004-01-05: SUSPENSION:REAR. ON CERTAIN AMBULANCES EQUIPPED WITH GOODRICH VELVET\-RIDE REAR SUSPENSION SYSTEMS, THE BOLTS CONNECTING THE SUSPENSION SPRING TO THE REAR AXLE MAY BREAK. Built 1993\-12\-02 to 2001\-04\-08.
- [03V083000](/recalls/nhtsa/03V083000.md), 2003-03-06: SEATS. ON CERTAIN HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH BOSTROM DRIVER SEAT MODELS 910, 910SC, OR 914 AND INTERNATIONAL'S PARKING BRAKE CODE 04036, IF SOMEONE OUTSIDE THE CAB ADJUSTS/SLIDES THE DRIVER'S SEAT TO ITS MOST FORWARD POSITION, WITH THE PARKING BRAKE SET, THE SEAT WILL CONTACT AND RELEASE THE PARKING BRAKE LEVER. Built 1994\-12\-13 to 1998\-09\-04.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2003049](/recalls/tc/2003049.md), 2003-02-28: Seats And Restraints. On certain vehicles built with Bostrum driver seat models \(910, 910C, or 914\) and with International's parking brake code 04036. If someone outside the cab adjusts/slides the driver's seat to its most forward position, with the parking brake set, the seat will contact and release the parking brake lever. This could cause the vehicle to move unexpectedly and possibly result in an accident. Correction: A stop\-bracket will be installed on the seat track to limit the travel of the seat so that it can not release the parking brake lever when the seat is adjusted to its most forward position. This is an expansion of recall 01\-088.
- [1999025](/recalls/tc/1999025.md), 1999-02-22: Steering. On certain vehicles, the tie rod end can pull outboard and separate from the tie rod tube due to improper thread engagement between the male tie rod end and the female tube. A separation of the tie rod end could result in loss of steering control and a possible crash. Correction: The complete tie rod assembly will be replaced on involved vehicles.
- [1998117](/recalls/tc/1998117.md), 1998-06-04: Powertrain. THE DOUBLE NEUTRAL SHIFT CONTROL LEVER MAY BIND AS THE DRIVER ATTEMPTS TO PUT THE LEVER IN THE PARK POSITION. IF THIS OCCURS THE LEVER DOES NOT ACTUALLY REACH THE FULL PARK POSITION WHICH COULD RESULT IN A FALSE PARK CONDITION. THIS COULD RESULT IN THE VEHICLE ROLLING IF PARKED ON AN INCLINE. CORRECTION: THE DOUBLE SHIFT CONTROL WILL BE REPLACED WITH A REDESIGNED SHIFT CONTROL AND A FINAL ADJUSTMENT WILL BE MADE TO THE CABLE AFTER THE NEW SHIFT CONTROL IS INSTALLED.
- [1997153](/recalls/tc/1997153.md), 1997-09-09: Engine. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL ROD MATERIAL IS EXCESSIVELY BRITTLE AND MAY BREAK DURING A HARD FULL THROTTLE APPLICATION. SHOULD THE ROD BREAK, THE ENGINE WOULD RETURN TO IDLE. THIS COULD RESULT IN AN INABILITY TO PROPERLY ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE IN A CIRCUMSTANCE WHICH COULD CAUSE A VEHICULAR ACCIDENT WITHOUT WARNING. CORRECTION: ACCELERATOR RODS ON AFFECTED VEHICLES WILL BE REPLACED WITH NEW RODS.
- [1997109](/recalls/tc/1997109.md), 1997-06-06: Brakes. THE CAM LEVER ON THE POWERED APPLY BRAKE CAN MOVE FORWARD BECAUSE OF A HOLE IN THE TRANSMISSION MOUNTING BOSS WAS DRILLED TOO DEEP, ALLOWING THE CAM LEVER TO BECOME DISENGAGED FROM THE PARKING BRAKE SHOES. SHOULD THIS OCCUR, THE DRIVER WOULD HAVE NO WARNING THAT THE PARKING BRAKE WAS NOT APPLIED. THIS COULD RESULT IN VEHICLE ROLL AWAY AND A POSSIBLE ACCIDENT. CORRECTION: SHIMS WILL BE INSTALLED IN THE DRILLED AREA OF THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION PARK BRAKE PIVOT PIN HOLE.
- [1996132](/recalls/tc/1996132.md), 1996-09-10: Steering. THE TUBE PORTION OF THE STEERING COLUMN HAS A WELDED END WHICH IS 3.5 INCHES LONG INSTEAD OF THE SPECIFIED 5.5 INCHES. WITH THE SHORTER END IT IS POSSIBLE THERE IS INSUFFICIENT ENGAGEMENT OF THE MALE END INTO THE TUBE PORTION AND SEPARATION OF THE COLUMN COULD OCCUR. THIS WOULD RESULT IN LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL AND A POSSIBLE VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. CORRECTION: INCORRECTLY BUILT STEERING COLUMNS WILL BE REPLACED WITH A NEW STEERING COLUMN.
