Service bulletins for the 2018 Infiniti Q50
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| P9329_P9344_P934 | 2020-01-09. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Engine Control Module (ECM) Reprogram California Voluntary Emission Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary ***** INFINITI is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign on approximately 49,497 specific INFINITI vehicles identified in Service Comm and currently registered to owners in the state of California to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) in the event that a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) for P0448, P0101, P2008, or P0087 is recorded in the ECM. Due to calibration errors on the affected vehicles, the ECM may improperly store a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) even though the emissions on-board diagnostic system is functioning properly. As of July 1, 2019 the State of California has implemented a revised Inspection Maintenance (I/M) or “Smog Check” test program. Without the software update, the subject vehicles may not pass this Smog Check test in those areas of California where such testing is required under state law. This incident has no effect on the safety, performance, drivability, or fuel consumption of the applicable vehicles. ***** What Retailers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open Campaign I.D. • P9329 – Affected Model Year 2015 • P9344 – Affected Model Year 2016 • P9346 – Affected Model Year 2017 • P9348 – Affected Model Year 2018 • P9350 – Affected Model Year 2019 2. Retailers are requested to repair any affected vehicles in retailer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure client satisfaction. • - New vehicles in retailer inventory can also be identified DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). • - Refer to IPSB 15-286 for additional information 3. Retailers should use ITB19-043 to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign. |

Q50 AND Q60 WITH VR30DDTT (V6) ENGINE; ENGINE OIL DRAIN PLUG SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION Whenever installing an engine oil drain plug on an APPLIED VEHICLE with a VR30DDTT (V6) engine, NEVER tighten the drain plug greater than its specified torque. Over-tightening may loosen the threaded insert in the oil pan (lower), causing an oil leak. ALWAYS replace the drain plug gasket after removing the drain plug, and then tighten the drain plug to the specified torque. • VR30DDTT (V6) engine oil drain plug torque (with new gasket): • 2WD and AWD: 33.5 N•m (3.4 kg-m, 25 ft-lbs) • Avoid contact with the engine oil as it may be hot and cause burns. • Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with used engine oil as it may cause skin cancer. Try to avoid direct skin contact with used engine oil. If skin contact is made, wash with a suitable hand cleaner or soap as soon as possible. |
| ITB19-027 | 2019-10-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING.
