DAMAGED DRIVER SEAT BELT BUCKLE WIRING COULD CAUSE THE SEAT BELT WARNING LAMP OR THE SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM \(SRS\) AIR BAG WIRING LAMP TO ILLUMINATE. IT COULD ALSO CAUSE THE AIR BAG FUSE \(CAVITY NUMBER 5\) TO OPEN, PREVENTING AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. Built to 2002\-04\-14.
- [03V257000](/recalls/nhtsa/03V257000.md), 2003-07-22: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS. ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE REAR BRAKE TUBES PASS BEHIND THE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER. TWO STEERING GEARBOX MOUNTING BRACKETS ARE WELDED TO THE CROSSMEMBER. ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AN ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM \(ABS\), THE REAR BRAKE TUBES COULD CONTACT BOTH STEERING GEARBOX MOUNTING BRACKETS. ON VEHICLES THAT ARE NOT EQUIPPED WITH ABS, THE REAR BRAKE TUBES MAY CONTACT ONLY THE LEFT MOUNTING BRACKET. CONTACT BETWEEN THE REAR BRAKE TUBES AND THE STEERING BRACKETS COULD CAUSE WEAR AND CORROSION THAT COULD RESULT IN BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE. Built 2001\-08\-10 to 2003\-02\-15.
- [02V290000](/recalls/nhtsa/02V290000.md), 2002-11-05: SEAT BELTS:FRONT:BUCKLE ASSEMBLY. ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE DRIVER SEAT BELT BUCKLE WIRING COULD BE DAMAGED BY INTERFERENCE WITH THE DRIVER SEAT CUSHION HEIGHT ADJUSTER MECHANISM. Built 2001\-08\-10 to 2002\-03\-14.

- [2009121](/recalls/tc/2009121.md), 2009-04-23: Suspension. On certain vehicles operated in areas of heavy road salt usage \(Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland \& Labrador\), road salt can collect in the outboard portion of the front lower control arm and may result in internal corrosion leading to thinning of the steel in the lower control arms. In severe cases, the corrosion may progress to the point where the lower control arm's upper and lower panels become perforated. A perforated front lower control arm may fracture between its ball joint attachment and the forward and rearward pivot attachments to the chassis. This could result in a loss of vehicle control and a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the front lower control arms. Should the control arms not require replacement, drainage holes will be added, as well as treatment with rust\-proofing material to arrest the corrosion process.
- [2004130](/recalls/tc/2004130.md), 2004-04-13: Fuel System. On certain vehicles, the fuel tank assembly valve may not close properly. If a vehicle with a fuel tank assembly valve that is not properly closed were to roll over, fuel spillage could occur. Fuel spillage in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire. Correction: Dealer will install an additional fuel tank assembly valve.
- [2003224](/recalls/tc/2003224.md), 2003-09-10: Airbag. On certain vehicles, the thickness of the instrument panel pad at the tear lines is 0.74mm, which is thicker than the specified 0.4 =/\- 0.05mm. The thicker material at the tear line inhibits the ability of the instrument panel surface to fold upward if the passenger airbag deploys. This may adversely affect the deployment of the passenger airbag. Correction: Dealer will replace the instrument panel.
- [2003173](/recalls/tc/2003173.md), 2003-07-22: Brakes. On certain vehicles, the rear brake tubes may contact the steering gear box mounting brackets resulting in rear brake tube wear and corrosion. Severe rear brake tube wear and corrosion may result in brake fluid leakage reducing braking capability. Correction: Dealer will reposition the rear brake tubes, install clips to control the position of the tubes and apply anti\-corrosion material where contact with the steering gear box mounting brackets may have occurred.
- [2002210](/recalls/tc/2002210.md), 2002-11-14: Seats And Restraints. On certain vehicles, the driver seat belt buckle wiring may be damaged by interference with the driver seat cushion height adjuster mechanism. Damaged driver seat belt buckle wiring may cause the seat belt warning lamp and the Supplemental Restraint System \(SRS\) airbag warning lamp to illuminate. It could also cause the airbag fuse to open, preventing airbag deployment and increasing the risk of injury during a collision where deployment is intended. Correction: Dealers will protect the wiring, and if necessary, replace the driver seat belt buckle.
