# Recalls that may apply to the 2008 Hyundai Entourage A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Hyundai Motor America \(Hyundai\) is recalling certain 2007\-2010 Elantra and 2009\-2011 Elantra Touring vehicles. On February 21, 2020 Hyundai expanded the recall to include 46,425 model year 2007\-2008 Entourage and 2007 Santa Fe vehicles. Moisture may enter the Anti\-lock Brake \(ABS\) Module and result in an electrical short. Hyundai Motor America \(Hyundai\) is recalling certain model year 2007\-2008 Entourage vehicles manufactured February 16, 2006, to June 30, 2008. In the affected vehicles, the secondary hood latch may corrode and bind and remain in the unlatched position when the hood is closed. Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. \(Hyundai\) is recalling certain model year 2007\-2008 Hyundai Entourage vehicles manufactured from February 16, 2006, through June 30, 2008 and sold in, or currently registered in, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. In the affected vehicles, the front lower control arms may fracture due to corrosion resulting from exposure to road salt and water. Built 2006\-02\-16 to 2008\-06\-30. - [13V113000](/recalls/nhtsa/13V113000.md), 2013-04-01: EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS:SWITCH. Hyundai Motor Company \(Hyundai\) is recalling certain model year 2006\-2009 Accent, model year 2007\-2011 Azera, Sonata and Sante Fe,2006\-2011 Tucson, 2009\-2011 Elantra Touring, 2007\-2010 Elantra, 2008\-2011 Veracruz, 2009\-2011 Genesis, 2010\-2011 Genesis Coupe, 2007\-2008 Entourage, and 2006\-2008 Tiburon vehicles. Originally, in April 2013, Hyundai recalled 1,059,824 model year 2007\-2009 Accent and Tucson, model year 2007\-2010 Elantra, model year 2007\-2011 Santa Fe, model year 2008\-2009 Veracruz, model year 2010\-2011 Genesis Coupe, and model year 2011 Sonata vehicles. In September 2013, Hyundai informed the agency that it was adding more vehicles to this campaign, representing an additional 652,512 units. The total number of vehicles being recalled is now 1,712,336. In the affected vehicles, the stop lamp switch may malfunction. A malfunctioning stop lamp switch may cause the brake lights to not illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed or may cause an inability to deactivate the cruise control by depressing the brake pedal. Additionally, a malfunctioning stop lamp switch may also result in intermittent operation of the push\-button start feature, affect the operation of the brake transmission shift interlock feature, preventing the shifter from being moved out of the PARK position and cause the Electronic Stability Control \(ESC\) malfunction light to illuminate. Built 2006\-04\-01 to 2006\-10\-18. ## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19 - [2020045](/recalls/tc/2020045.md), 2020-02-07: Brakes. Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with an anti\-lock brake system \(ABS\), moisture can enter the ABS control module and cause a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit could create a fire risk. This can happen even if the vehicle is parked. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to install a relay to power off the ABS control module when the vehicle is turned off. - [2016596](/recalls/tc/2016596.md), 2016-11-28: Structure. On certain vehicles, the secondary hood latch could corrode, and may result in the mechanical binding of the latch. This could cause the secondary hood latch to remain in the open position when the hood is closed. If the vehicle were to be driven with the primary hood latch disengaged, or primary hood latch is released while driving, there is a potential that the secondary hood latch may not hold the hood closed while the vehicle is in motion. If this were to occur, it could compromise the driver’s ability to see the road and its users, as well as cause damage to the windshield. These issues could result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the hood latch mechanisms. - [2013389](/recalls/tc/2013389.md), 2013-11-07: Suspension. On certain vehicles, road salt can corrode the front control arms, which may ultimately lead to control arm failure. This could result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect the control arms and either apply an anticorrosion treatment or replace control arms, as necessary. - [2013325](/recalls/tc/2013325.md), 2013-09-25: Electrical. On certain vehicles, the stop lamp switch may fail and cause intermittent operation of the brake lights. Failure of the brake lights to illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.
